WWE Smackdown Recap (3/31): AJ Styles, Dean Ambrose In Action, WrestleMania Preview Videos, More

AJ Styles vs. Heath Slater (w/ Social Outcasts)

The Social Outcasts make fun of AJ Styles for being alone, and make some corny jokes that are pretty funny. I think Heath Slater called Adam Rose a razzlemonkey. Styles hits a dropkick and a knee drop early, but gets booted in the head as Curtis Axel causes a distraction. Slater heel kicks Styles, then dumps him outside the ring.

Styles comes back with a forearm, followed by the Ushigoroshi. Styles finishes Slater off with the Phenomenal Forearm.

Winner: AJ Styles via pinfall (Phenomenal Forearm)

- We get a Shane McMahon vs. Undertaker video promo.

- Next up, we're shown a Brock Lesnar vs. Dean Ambrose promo.

- More WrestleMania hype. This time we see the Roman Reigns/Triple H brawl from Raw.

- Hype video for Snoop Dogg's Hall of Fame induction.

Jey Uso (w/ Jimmy Uso) vs. D-Von Dudley (w/ Bubba Ray Dudley)

Uso attacks early, clotheslining D-Von outside of the ring. D-Von catches Jey back inside with a big punch and continues the assault. D-Von lands a slam, but Jey comes back with punches and a Samoan Drop. Jimmy keeps Bubba from interfering, but D-Von hits the RDS (Ron Damn Simmons) Spinebuster for the win.

Winner: D-Von Dudley via pinfall (RDS)

- Next up is a hype video for the Divas championship match.

- WWE World Heavyweight Championship hype video.

Dean Ambrose vs. Erick Rowan

Erick Rowan attacks early, but Ambrose dumps him to the outside. Ambrose jumps onto Rowan as we head to our final commercial break. We come back to see Rowan hit a pendulum backbreaker for a nearfall. A diving back elbow gets the same. Ambrose catches Rowan going up top and superplexes him to the mat.

Rowan is dropkicked to the outside, and then eats a suicide dive. The two trade punches in the ring, but Ambrose gets the best of it, which allows him to hit a flying elbow. Rowan counters a lariat with a seated uranage, but it can't put Ambrose away. Ambrose kicks out of Rowan's spin kick, hits a rebound lariat and Dirty Deeds for the win.

Winner: Dean Ambrose via pinfall (Rebound lariat)
