Chris Jericho Says He Buried AJ Styles, Likens Styles To Bull Buchanan And Daivari

Chris Jericho may not have left Monday Night Raw as the number one contender, but he shocked viewers on Sunday when he defeated WWE newcomer AJ Styles, who was the heavy favorite in the match.

Jericho called in to Busted Open Nation and cut a bit of an in-character promo on the hosts to discuss his big WrestleMania win.

"Oh, 'Jericho buried Styles.' You're damn right I did, and I'm going to bury everybody that I work with, because nobody can touch me. Everybody who thought AJ Styles was going to come in and win, I proved you all wrong," Jericho said.

Jericho stated that he'll continue to bury everyone that he gets in the ring with, and maintained the notion that AJ Styles is a rookie.

"I'm sick of this. I will bury everybody from this moment forward. I proved myself right, and that's the way it was going to be. People loved AJ Styles and turned their backs on me. AJ Styles is technically a WWE rookie," said Jericho.

Jericho then likened Styles to failed WWE Superstars of years past, including Muhammad Hassan and Daivairi.

"He got his WrestleMania moment, he got to be in the ring with me. AJ Styles is like Bull Buchanan, D-Lo Brown, Muhammad Hassan or Daivari who were going to be the biggest thing, and were gone in six months," Jericho said.
