AJ Styles On Becoming WWE Champion, If He's A Liar, Relationship With Karl Anderson And Luke Gallows
Above is this week's sitdown interview with Michael Cole, which features former TNA and IWGP Heavyweight Champion AJ Styles, who takes on Roman Reigns this Sunday at Extreme Rules. Below are highlights:
* When asked if he's a liar, Styles says he doesn't care if anyone believes him anymore. Nobody understands the relationship he has with Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows. When he went to Japan, Gallows and Anderson had his back and took care of him. Nothing is going to change now. He says he knows that they aren't the best of people, but he'll forever have their back.
* Styles insists he'll beat Roman Reigns on his own, but Anderson and Gallows are going to be there in case the Usos run-in. When asked if he'd take advantage of the situation if Reigns was laid out, Styles said that he would. He said it's Extreme Rules and anything can happen.
* Styles says there's a lot of passion that goes into what he does. He's been a champion everywhere but WWE. Dedication, passion, pride and money are important to him, and taking care of his family is most important. With the WWE Title comes money. He says he'll do anything and everything it takes to be the WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
