- The Hartford Courant reports that Linda McMahon will be in Cleveland as a delegate for the GOP Convention in July. All delegates and alternates were selected by Donald Trump's campaign and formally accepted by the Republican State Central Committee on Monday.
- WWE Intercontinental Champion The Miz will participate in the 44th Annual Los Angeles Police – Celebrity Golf Tournament on Saturday, May 21st at the Rancho Park Golf Course in West Los Angeles. The event raises money to benefit the Los Angeles Police Memorial Foundation. Many celebrities have been announced including Tito Ortiz, Luke Wilson, Ryan Cabrera, Gene Simmons and family, Mark Paul Gosselaar, Nick Carter, Ron Perlman, Alan Thicke, Kelly Kelly's husband Sheldon Souray and others.
- We noted yesterday, via an announcement from former WWE star Alex "The Pug" Pourteau's new 2.0 Wrestling school, that former TNA Knockout Santana Garrett (Brittany) was involved with the project. A representative for Santana sent word that she is not affiliated with Pourteau's new school and issued this statement:
Santana Garrett has no affiliation to any new wrestling school. One has reached out to her for a booking in the near future. Santana Garrett is only affiliated with one training center, the Team Vision Dojo / I Believe in Wrestling School. The former Knockout and World Women's Champion has been training at the Team Vision Dojo for the past 6+ years and currently overseas the female trainees.
- It was revealed this week that WWE quietly released "The Brooklyn Brawler" Steve Lombardi last week. Brawler, who was with the company for more than 30 years, made his first Twitter comments since the news broke, as seen below. Jim Ross noted in his latest blog that Brawler was positive and in good spirits when they talked.
