WWE Cruiserweight Classic Flashpoint Event Announced, John Cena - Invictus Games, WWE Tour
- WWN Live announced today that EVOLVE will host a WWE Cruiserweight Classic Flashpoint, a prelude to the tournament, on June 11th in Orlando, Florida. The event is designed to prepare fans for the CWC, which tapes the week of June 20th and starts airing July 13th on the WWE Network. Names already confirmed for the Flashpoint event include Johnny Gargano, TJ Perkins, Drew Gulak and Lince Dorado, who will be making his return to EVOLVE. More details on the Flashpoint will be released soon.
- WWE announced John Cena as the featured Superstar for the August live events in Australia and New Zealand. They will run August 10th in Auckland, August 11th in Melbourne, August 12th in Adelaide and August 13th in Sydney. Others advertised include WWE World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns, WWE Tag Team Champions The New Day, WWE Women's Champion Charlotte, Emma, Sasha Banks, Sheamus and Kevin Owens.
- As noted, Cena has been serving as a Jaguar Land Rover Ambassador at the Invictus Games in Miami this week. He's also captained the Wheelchair Rugby Exhibition Match teams with actor Wilmer Valderrama. In the video below, the local ABC News affiliate talks with Cena about the competitions, the veteran athletes and more. Cena also tweeted a photo of the custom Jaguar he was given to arrive in all week, and pick up a Military family in. Cena also mentioned he's interested in participating at the 2017 games from Toronto but it's up to the promoters.
