Kurt Angle Comments On WWE Reports

As noted, Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported this week that WWE will not be bringing Kurt Angle back. This came after Angle appeared on a Pittsburgh radio station this week announcing that he would eventually return to WWE.

Angle replied to the reports, writing on his Facebook:

"In response to some of your questions today regarding the WWE, and all of the media fanfare about it the last few days, I want to, once again, say that our confidential conversation never discussed the brand split. A few wrestling sites seem to have put a spin on this by twisting some words around to fit their agenda, something that I have no control over. What I CAN control is my own life, and my life isn't only wrestling. I do not expect to be in wrestling much longer. I AM excited about my future. Thank you."

As noted, Angle appeared on 105.9 the X this week and revealed that he recently had spoken with Triple H.

"Will I return? Yes," Angle told 105.9 the X. "I don't know when."

Angles said that he spoke to Triple H about six weeks ago, which was before the brand split was announced. Angle said that it was a good conversation, and that they are on good terms. He said that he was not contacted about the brand split, and that he's not expecting anything.

Angle said that he's fine if WWE contacts him again or not. He says he doesn't know when he'd return, but he once again said that he hasn't been contacted yet about returning for the brand split.
