Sheamus On The Rock And Batista's Influence, "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2" Box Office And Reviews
- Sheamus continues to do the media rounds to promote his role as Rocksteady in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, which released yesterday. In an interview with Digital Spy, Sheamus was asked if he plans to follow in the footsteps of The Rock and Batista.
"They've carried the torch and led the way," Sheamus said. "They've shown that it can be done. When you're in a WWE ring and you do a live show in front of millions of people around the world there's no second takes, there's no cuts, it's happening as you speak, it's out there. It's going right to the live camera. That's definitely helped prepare me, and I'm sure helped prepare The Rock and Batista as well for their careers in movies. They definitely compliment each other."
Sheamus also discussed wanting to play Spider-Man villain Venom, the first time he met Michael Bay and more. You can read the full interview by clicking here.
- Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows opened yesterday with $12.5 million, and is projected to take in around $35 million this weekend. It will top the weekend box-office, however it will be way below the $65.6 million weekend that the TMNT reboot garnered in August 2014.
- Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows was also met with negative reviews from the critics, although that has been the case for every TMNT movie. At movie aggregator site Rotten Tomatoes the movie is at a 36%, which is "Rotten." Of the 96 reviews counted as of this writing, 61 were negative while only 35 were positive. However, it fared a lot better than the 2014 reboot, which only scored a 22%.
