The Rock Getting Rave Reviews, "Central Intelligence" Box Office And Reviews, Rock - Jimmy Fallon

- Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last night to promote Central Intelligence, which opens today in 3,460 theaters. In the sketch above, Johnson and Fallon play two high school students at their senior prom.

Below is another part of the interview where Johnson eats candy for the first time since 1989. He said that the last candy he had was Twizzlers at a movie theater.

- Speaking of Johnson, he has been getting rave reviews for his performance in Central Intelligence. As for the movie itself, it's performing fairly well with critics, garnering a 61% (fresh) on movie aggregator site Rotten Tomatoes. Of the 66 reviews counted as of this writing, 40 have been positive while 26 have been negative. All the reviews that I have read have praised Johnson's performance. The critics consensus from Rotten Tomatoes reads:

Kevin Hart and Dwayne Johnson make for well-matched comic foils, but Central Intelligence is a little too aimless and inconsistent to take sufficient advantage of their gifts.

- Deadline reports that Central Intelligence, which was produced on a $50 million budget, is estimated to earn at least $30 million this weekend. It is expected to take the #2 spot at the box office behind Finding Dory, which is expected to have the second best debut this summer after the $171.9 million opening for Captain America: Civil War.
