Jon Jones Comments On USADA Violation, NSAC Hearing Set; Joe Lauzon-Jim Miller Rematch
- Jon Jones took to Twitter earlier this week to answer questions from fans regarding his drug use. Jones was suspended by the Nevada Athletic Commission following his failed test from June given by the USADA. "Bones" was found to be using banned substances and was removed from the UFC 200 main event vs. Daniel Cormier.

Jones also sarcastically responded to someone claiming that his recent drug test "exposed" that he has been doping his entire career, writing back, "Yep that's the consensus."
- The Nevada Athletic Commission will next see Jon Jones in either September or October for a formal hearing after suspending the fighter temporarily on Monday during a hearing. Jones, according to MMAjunkie, has obtained the services of Howard Jacobs, who previously defended Sean Sherk, Alexander Shlemenko and Tim Means in drug-use charges.
Jacobs helped get Means back in the Octagon with a six-month suspension, successfully appealing his positive test. Jones was found to have estrogen blockers in his system during a June 16 test. It was the only test he failed given by USADA and his "B" sample also came back positive.
- An exciting rematch is booked for UFC on FOX 21, as Joe Lauzon takes on Jim Miller. The two lightweights will likely be part of the FOX main card on August 27 from the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Anthony Pettis-Charles Oliveira and Paige VanZant-Bec Rawlings are among the previously announced bouts.
Lauzon (26-11) will be seeking revenge for a 2012 loss to Miller (26-8) that earned "Fight of the Year" honors by several sources. Most recently, Lauzon is coming off his 13th Octagon win, which was a TKO over Diego Sanchez. Miller, meanwhile bested Takanori Gomi for his 15th victory with the UFC on the same UFC 200 card as Lauzon-Sanchez.
