G1 TOURNAMENT

B BLOCK MATCHES

YUJI NAGATA DEFEATED YOSHI-HASHI

Another huge win for the wily veteran Nagata. He now improves to 3 and 0 in the G1. Both wrestlers are crowd favorites for different reasons and this was a well worked match between these two. Nagata gets the 2 points by hitting his backdrop hold on Yoshi-Hashi.

KATSUHIKO NAKAJIMA DEFEATED "KING OF DARKNESS" EVIL

Both men came into this match splitting their first two contests in the G1. The pro wrestling NOAH star, Nakajima gets a big win over Evil at this point in the tournament. Impressive showing by him. His striking ability is fun to watch. He gets the win over the king of darkness with the vertical spike.

TETSUYA NAITO DEFEATED TORU YANO

Naito toyed with and dominated Yano in this one. Playing the role of a cocky heel, who knew he had no chance of losing. This match ended in under 5 minutes when Naito defeated Yano with his Destino finisher.

KENNY OMEGA DEFEATED TOMOAKI HONMA

Kenny Omega improves to 2 and 1 in the tourney by beating Honma with The one winged angel in just under 14 minutes. This was a fairly even match. Part of Omega's schtick is him having fun in the ring and at times, over acting and being silly but when he presses the serious button. He really shows off his talent. Honma who is very popular, made him do just that. The perennial underdog came close to victory on several occasions in this battle but Omega prevailed in this one.

MICHAEL ELGIN DEFEATED KATSUYORI SHIBATA

The main event of tonight's event saw the current IWGP intercontinental champ in Elgin face off with The Never open weight champ in Shibata. This was a very physical match. Elgin's power skill set vs Shibata's mma striking ability. Elgin got the win after 15 minutes of hard hitting action by hitting the Elgin Bomb on Shibata. He needed this win badly after losing his first two G1 matches. Post match saw Elgin get on the mic and state to the crowd that he will not lose anymore matches in the G1.
