The movie also features a cameo from, in his final onscreen appearance, the late "Rowdy" Roddy Piper as Denton's concerned neighbor, Mr. Jablonski, as well as a cameo from ECW's Tommy Dreamer as a confused softball umpire.

- We noted back in December that The Rock and Mark Wahlberg were being sued for their hit show, Ballers. Everette Silas and Sherri Littleton filed a $200 million suit claiming that the idea lifts elements from a project they had titled "Off Season" in 2007 and allege that HBO had access to copies of their screenplay. According to Deadline, the suit was thrown out because the judge ruled that the "themes and concerns of the two concepts are widely different." It was noted that the two projects "had general expressions that you might find in any project where football players were a primary element."

- TIME magazine has a story here about people wanting Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson wanting to run for President, stemming from the sign below that appeared during CNN's coverage of the Democratic National Convention this week. It was noted that Johnson had previously stated that he might consider a run for public office.
