Daniel Bryan Ring Return Note, More On Eva Marie's New Look, Update On Netflix Wrestling Series
- We noted back in May that Netflix has ordered 10 episodes of GLOW, a comedy that is inspired by the 1980s female wrestling promotion. According to The Hollywood Reporter, comedian Marc Maron will play the male lead in the series as a washed-up Hollywood director who will lead the women in the series to wrestling stardom. Alison Brie (Community, BoJack) is playing the lead character of Ruth, an out-of-work actress who joins GLOW.
- Sports Illustrated reported today in their weekly pro wrestling column that it is "unlikely Daniel Bryan will ever wrestle again in the WWE," despite an article last week from Forbes claiming that "a source with inside knowledge" told them that "WWE has not completely shut the door on a Daniel Bryan return to the ring." They noted the multi-million dollar concussion lawsuit against WWE and that WWE's doctors have yet to clear Bryan.
- As noted, Eva Marie dyed her hair black this week, which is her natural hair color. She took to Instagram to ask fans if she should keep the new look, as seen below:
