– Former WWE star The Warlord joined The Roman Show at the annual Legends of Wrestling show at Marlins Park last Saturday, as seen in the video above. The sent us the highlight below, where Warlord talked about being a bodyguard for Kimbo Slice and 50 Cent and revealed that TNA was interested in speaking with Kimbo, who passed away this past June at the age of 42.
“TNA had asked me if Kimbo would come and talk to him and train him in pro wrestling,” Warlord said. “I think Kimbo would have done fine. He had a character already. As far as wrestling that would fall in to place.
“Kimbo was an incredible guy. He was a great family man, very quiet. But let me tell you I heard him punching those bags and heard the pop, to me that impressed me. He was one of the hardest punchers. 50 [Cent] was a super guy. He didn’t drink or smoke. He would take care of himself… [he] was a very good man.”
– As noted, Eric Young has been rumored to sign with NXT. Young appeared at NXT this past May for one show, losing to then-NXT Champion Samoa Joe by submission. Hulk Hogan commented on TNA possibly signing Young, writing:
If they really signed Eric Young it was pure genius!! Now all they need Is Daniels and Kaz!! Brother I’m hooked if they do 4Life. HH
