John Cena Comments On Setbacks, Former NFL Player Says Signing With WWE "Was Cooler" Than NFL

- As noted, WWE recently signed Six-foot-seven, 300-pound former NFL offensive tackle Brennan Williams, who is training at the WWE Performance Center. Williams was a third-round draft pick of the Houston Texans in 2013, and was also part of the practice squads for the Jacksonville Jaguars and New England Patriots during his NFL tenure. He start training for his wrestling career under Booker T last October after his NFL career ended, and made his in-ring debut for Booker's Houston-based Reality of Wrestling earlier this year as Marcellus Black. The Houston Press has a story here about Williams and his journey to WWE.

"My NFL experience had put me in a frame of mind where I always prepared for the worst," Williams said. "So [signing my WWE deal] was much cooler than signing my NFL contract. Seeing my name on the page with the WWE logo, it sent me over the hills."
