Los Ingobernables gets the win when Evil beats Juice with the STO. Dissension teased between Naito and Evil, who face off tomorrow in the B block. Naito is tied for 1st place and Evil, who is an extreme longshot can spoil his LIJ leader's chances of winning the B block.

G1 CLIMAX 26 TOURNAMENT
A BLOCK MATCHES
TAMA TONGA DEFEATED SANADA IN 10:40
Tonga keeps his extremely slim hopes alive by beating Sanada with The Gun Stun. Sanada is officially eliminated from G1 final contention with this loss. With only 2 wins and 4 points to his credit. He trails the 1st place leader by 6 and has only 2 matches left. The tourney started off promising for him but he's now wrestling for pride down the stretch. Good performance by both men. Tonga has worked well turning the audience against him in these type of heel vs heel match-ups in the G1.
BAD LUCK FALE DEFEATED TOGI MAKABE IN 8:38
Back to back Bullet Club wins in this block. Fale victorious over Makabe with the Grenade. Both men are now 4 and 3 with 8 points. Just 2 points behind the leader. Exactly what you would expect from these two. A physical style brawl between two of the toughest men in New Japan.
HIROOKI GOTO DEFEATED HIROYOSHI TENZAN IN 10:02
The sentimental favorite, Tenzan is officially eliminated from G1 final contention when Goto beats him with the GTR. Tenzan gave it all in this one but he was out classed by Goto. This was a slow building match where the story was Goto dominating while Tenzan kept begging for more. The old veteran refusing to back down or go quietly. The last few minutes were excellent. The crowd and Hirooki Goto gave Hiroyoshi Tenzan a standing ovation after this battle. This was Tenzan's final G1 appearance and he was aided to the back by his partner Satoshi Kojima. One of the best storytelling moments in the G1 thus far. Goto is at 8 points now and within striking distance with just 2 matches left.
TOMOHIRO ISHII DEFEATED KAZUCHIKA OKADA IN 18:43
From one great story to another. Here, we had the IWGP champion in Okada vs his stable mate and friend Tomohiro Ishii. There was no finger poke of doom here. This was a heck of a match. Ishii didn't lay down for the Chaos leader at all. Another match of the year candidate by Ishii after his last A block match with Tanahashi. Back and forth action, evenly contested throughout. Okada made several attempts to try and end this match early with his Rainmaker. This was a hot crowd in Osaka who were fully engaged in this one throughout. Several counters, reversals and near falls. Final frantic sequence saw Okada miss the rainmaker, Ishii going for his vertical brainbuster, only to have it countered into a tombstone piledriver, Ishii reversed it into his own tombstone piledriver. Two straight near falls followed by the vertical brainbuster by Tomohiro for the win over Okada. Tomohiro is very unheralded but he may in fact be the star of this years tournament thus far. He has 6 points and trails Okada by 4 with only 2 matches left but he now has the tie breaker over Okada if they were to finish with the same record by virtue of this victory.
HIROSHI TANAHASHI DEFEATED NAOMUCHI MARUFUJI IN 19:00
4th straight big win by the Ace of NJPW, Tanahashi. He gets the victory with the High Fly Flow. The crowd was still coming down from the great high of the last two matches and these two wisely started off the match slow. By the time, The match picked up in pace and intensity. The crowd was ready to go for one last ride. The NOAH star, Marufuji was very physical in this match. Marufuji emptied out all his strong style offense from his playbook. Tanahashi took a beating in this one getting hit extremely hard with all types of strikes to the chest, back and even head. He was even able to endure an piledriver on the apron. Marufuji could not put Hiroshi away and Tanahashi rallied late after several comeback attempts to get the victory. Very good match, difficult to follow the match prior to this one. This win by Tanahashi sets up a serious logjam at the top of the A block. Six of the ten participants are now separated by only one victory with just two matches left for each participant.
