Dana White Confirms UFC Title Fight, UFC Champion Upset At UFC Fight Pass, UFC 204 Preview
- The next big UFC card will take place in October, as Michael Bisping defends his middleweight title in England at UFC 204 vs. Dan Henderson. This bout is a rematch of Henderson's UFC 100 knockout win over Bisping.
The card takes place October 8 from the Manchester Arena in Manchester, England. Along with Bisping-Henderson, Vitor Belfort battles Gegard Mousasi in another middleweight contest.
An extended preview for the title fight has been released by the UFC.
- Eddie Alvarez wants to fight Conor McGregor. Khabib Nurmagomedov wants to fight Alvarez. McGregor just wants fighters to beg him for a bout. That sums up the current situation around both the UFC lightweight and featherweight titles, all of which came to be public knowledge on Twitter recently.
Alvarez called out McGregor for UFC 205 and Madison Square Garden in New York City this November. After leaving a pair of Tweets for the reigning UFC featherweight champion, it was Nurmagomedov who responded. "The Eagle," unbeaten in his MMA career, stated that he has already signed a contract to face Alvarez and was just waiting on the champion.
When asked who is fighting who next, UFC president Dana White offered up this:
@kylemuir17 @TheNotoriousMMA @Ealvarezfight not true it's @TeamKhabib

- Speaking of champions using social media to get their voice out, UFC welterweight titleholder Tyron Woodley took exception to a post made by the UFC Fight Pass account. The all-digital service showcased Nate Marquardt's knockout of Woodley from Strikeforce to promote Marquardt's next fight, which will stream on UFC Fight Pass.
Woodley is expected to defend his title at UFC 205 opposite Stephen Thompson.
@UFCFightPass wow really? Show what I did 2 Koscheck, Condit, Kim, Lawler, Daley, Hieron. The disrespect! Also tell about the TRT exemption
