Sound Off: Is NXT Hurting The WWE Main Roster?

As noted, during a recent interview with Michael Cole, Daniel Bryan discussed Finn Balor's shoulder injury suffered at SummerSlam, and noted that Balor should have been called to the main roster long ago.

"I understand that NXT is a very important part of our programming, and a very important part of the Network, but he was a Superstar when we signed him. Some people have to adjust to the WWE style," Bryan said. "For a guy like Finn Balor, that takes no more than six months. He's in the prime of his career right now. He just turned 35 the day he debuted on Raw, right? He should have been here a year and a half ago."

Bryan added that Samoa Joe and Shinsuke Nakamura should be on the main roster, stating that they're in their primes and they should be on RAW and SmackDown. He said that the longer they wait, the more bumps and bruises they will be taking and the more susceptible they are to injury.

"Everybody knows that there's a finite amount of hits that you can take in your career," Bryan noted. "You don't know what that number is. The more times you take those hits down on NXT, the less hits you're going to be able to take when you're here."

In order to keep NXT hot, it's understandable why wrestlers that are more than ready for the main roster – like Samoa Joe, Bobby Roode and Nakamura – are used in NXT. However with NXT not being a money-making brand, and with the lack of depth on RAW and SmackDown, is it ultimately hurting the main roster?
