How Did Bobby Lashley Fare In His Bellator 162 Fight?
Bobby Lashley kept his Bellator undefeated streak intact inside the Bellator cage Friday night, as the TNA wrestling star demolished Josh Appelt in the co-main event of Bellator 162. The main card aired live on Spike from the FedEx Forum in Memphis.
Lashley pushed his overall record to 15-2 and extended his win streak to eight in a row with the second round submission win. The 40-year-old locked up a rear-naked choke that forced Appelt to tap for the first time in his 18-fight career.
Lashley dropped the TNA World Heavyweight Championship earlier this month to Eddie Edwards. He has claimed five stoppage wins in five fights with Bellator.
The card also featured a second round TKO victory for Alexander Shlemenko in the main event over Kendall Grove. Shlemenko, returning to action after a suspension for a failed drug test, finished Grove with strikes.
