Update On If WWE Is Involved With New FloSlam Streaming Service, FloSlam Tweets On WWE, More

As noted, FloSports announced this week that their FloSlam.tv pro wrestling streaming service has signed a five-year deal with EVOLVE parent company WWN Live to bring their promotions to the new platform. WWN's Gabe Sapolsky noted on Twitter that this new deal will not change their working relationship with WWE. Flo has been in talks with other top indie promotions and more announcements are expected to be coming soon.

What makes this very interesting is that WWE was one of several investors to raise more than $21 million in funding for FloSports back in the summer. It's been reported by Dave Meltzer that this new FloSlam service is completely independent from WWE, despite the investment.

Meltzer noted on his message board that WWE and Pro Wrestling Guerrilla are not involved with FloSlam. He added that any talk about WWE being involved is premature as the two sides have not even had a first conversation about working together as of earlier this week but he believes they surely will talk. Meltzer also noted that PWG turned Flo down flat without any discussions but they also turned down the Fite TV app the same way. WWE does own a stake in FloSports but they are a total silent partner and the deal they signed does not include any influence or say-so.

The Flo Twitter account confirmed yesterday that WWE is an investor and is aware of this week's announcement:
