Alexa Bliss Talks Being A Heel And Why She Likes It, Who She Enjoyed Watching, How She Joined WWE

As part of promoting WWE's upcoming show in Ottawa, SmackDown superstar Alexa Bliss was interviewed by the Ottawa Sun. She talked about being heel, who she enjoyed watching when she was young and more. Below are some highlights.

Being a heel:

"It's so much more fun getting people not to like you. You get to act ways you can't act in public. It's out of the box. It's out of your realm. You get to try things. I study a lot of people and their mannerisms. If I see somebody do something I don't like, I use that. I'm thinking if I don't like it, I'm sure somebody else doesn't like it either."

Who she enjoyed watching when she was young:

"I watched wrestling religiously with my grandparents all the time. I loved watching Trish Stratus because she was so iconic and such a powerful woman. I loved watching Rey Mysterio because his lucha style reminded me so much of gymnastics. His style was so fascinating to me."

How she ended up in WWE:

"I heard about a tryout, so I went to wwe.com and there was a link that said, 'Do you want to be a WWE superstar?' I said, 'Yes, I do.' So I clicked on it, I made a video and sent it in. I was called back, had a tryout and was signed to NXT. I was there for three years and now I'm (on SmackDown Live). I definitely don't take it for granted. I'm so glad it happened, I'm so fortunate for the opportunities WWE has given me."

She also talked about training gymnastics, Women's division doing well, and more. You can read the full interview here.
