- As noted, WWE officially announced today that next year's edition of The Survivor Series will be held in Houston, TX at the Toyota Center. Like with WrestleMania in April, WWE will host NXT: Takeover the night before the event, RAW the following night and SmackDown that Tuesday at the same venue. WWE will be using this model with four events (NXT: Takeover, the pay-per-view, RAW and SmackDown) at the same city for the big four pay-per-views (WrestleMania, SummerSlam, Survivor Series and The Royal Rumble) starting with WrestleMania in April. For the most part the events will all be held at the same venue as the pay-per-view, with the exception of WrestleMania, which will be held in a stadium. ESPN has a story here about WWE's new business model for their big four pay-per-views. It was noted that packages will be available for fans to receive access to all four events.
