The Rock Named People Magazine's "Sexiest Man Alive" For 2016
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has been named People Magazine's "Sexiest Man Alive" for 2016. The annual feature, which started in 1985 when Mel Gibson was named the magazine's first "Sexiest Man Alive," hits newsstands this Friday.
"I said, 'That's awesome.' And then what went through my mind was just how cool and exciting it is," Johnson said when learning about the honor. "And then I thought, 'Wow, we've pretty much reached the pinnacle.' I'm not quite too sure where we go from here. I've done it all, this is it."
Johnson was also asked why his fans found him to be sexy. He credited his grooming habits, exfoliating his face and his sense of humor.
"I think probably just not trying to be sexy and just being cool and confident in your movies," he added. "I think with a lot of my fans, I've gotten to a very, very cool place where there's a direct line between the man they know off-screen and the man they see on-screen."
