Jon Jones Returns To Action, Jones Vs Dan Henderson Grappling Match Result, UFC On FOX 22 Preview

- Over the weekend, the UFC released "Road to the Octagon" for Saturday's UFC on FOX 22 card. The event features Paige VanZant vs. Michelle Waterson in the headline act from the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento.

On this edition of preview show, VanZant-Waterson, Sage Northcutt-Mickey Gall and Urijah Faber-Brad Pickett are all previewed with in-depth interviews and training segments shown.

- Sunday night marked the competitive return of Jon Jones, as the former UFC light heavyweight champion took on Dan Henderson in the main event of Submission Underground 2. The grappling-only bout was promoted by Chael Sonnen.

Jones locked up an arm-triangle choke just under seven minutes into the fight, earning the submission win. The two were once scheduled to meet at UFC 151 for the light heavyweight belt, but an injury to Henderson - who recently retired from MMA - scrapped it.

After the bout, Jones turned his attention to 2017 and challenged Sonnen to a bout at Submission Underground 3 in January. Sonnen agreed and will meet "Bones" just over a week after his Bellator 170 fight with Tito Ortiz.

Miesha Tate earned an overtime victory over former UFC opponent Jessica Eye in the co-main event of the card.
