Ryback Talks Blind Date Fiasco, Dating More Since Leaving WWE, Being A Buff Bagwell Fan, More

On episode 14 of Conversation With The Big Guy, former WWE Superstar Ryback opened up about his love life. Ryback talked about making more time for dating now that he is no longer with WWE and he shared a recent dating misadventure. Also, Ryback discussed his Buff Bagwell fandom and he claimed that he once met a woman online when he was a high school student.

According to Ryback, he has been dating more since leaving WWE, but it has been tough.

"For me, always being on the road with WWE and I had my girlfriend before for about a year and a half, and she wasn't the right one. But I care about her deeply though and [she is] a great human being. But, like, I knew it wasn't the right one and that was a tough thing to do to have to break up with her and all that, but I'm putting myself, even before the time was so constricted, it was hard to make time for dating. So now that I'm home and working and doing all this, I'm trying to go on more dates and I have. I've gone on a lot more dates, more dates than I ever would. And it is very interesting, like, the human beings that I meet, the different women that I meet, and, Goddamnit, it's not easy."

Ryback said he went on a date with a woman who does muscle worshipping session and she claimed that no sex was involved. Later, Ryback would get a rude awakening when he saw her Amazon order of 150 condoms of varying sizes.

"People who are involved in the bodybuilding world, it's such a very interesting community of people in the bodybuilding world, because a lot of these people, in order to pay for their 'supplements' that are not the supplements that you buy, like, at a GNC, or their lifestyle and other things, they have to do things to make money outside of their regular jobs or whatnot. Put men in full nelsons. This girl, she brought up to me, she goes, 'oh yeah, I do muscle worship sessions', and which I feel like should be communicated before you ever meet up with somebody and I go, 'cool'. I guess for people that are involved in it, like, men and women, probably mostly men, I would imagine, that are just obsessed with muscles and people that have muscles. And I'm sure there [are] some of them that just want to see them flex in their rooms or whatever. But there [are] others, I am sure, that it's obviously sexual also. And there [are] combinations of both and it's f–king? everyone has their thing and whatnot, but when she told me that, I go, 'oh, cool'. Then she goes, 'but never, no sex, no sex' and I go, 'oh, okay.'"

Ryback continued, "but she gives me her phone and shows me her Amazon [account] and she goes, 'look at all my phone cases' and she's drinking too, at this point, so I don't think she's really paying attention probably of her [Amazon account], so I'm like scrolling down, looking at the phone cases and eventually I get to three different orders of a box of 50 condoms of three different orders for a total of 150 condoms, all in different sizes."

In Ryback's mind, the only reasonable explanations is that she was being untruthful about not having sex during her muscle worshipping sessions.

"She tells me, she's like, 'I'm really shy' and she's like, 'I just like to have them' and all I'm thinking about is muscle worship, muscle worshipping, everything with that. This girl, that is her f–king job and it just completely changed everything. And I was just like, 'holy f–k.'"

Ryback acknowledged that he was a Buff Bagwell fan growing up and that Bagwell always got good reactions at live events. Moreover, 'The Big Guy' said he never met Bagwell given that he was in WWE for most of his professional wrestling career.

"We all had our AOL accounts and everything, which I believe I was BigPoppaSuperstar89. Yeah, I loved Scott Steiner as a kid. I loved Buff Bagwell too as a kid. I always talk about this and I've never met Bagwell. Yeah. Well, you've got to remember I've been with WWE for the majority of my life. He had the brief tenure there and everything and whatnot. And I went to all the Halloween Havocs in [Las] Vegas [Nevada], which were always at the MGM Grand and his pop and his reactions for his match were as good as anybody's. And just watching him as a fan and, like, you can just tell that so many people were connected to him one way or the other. And I've always loved airbrush and he had that airbrushed f–king top hat and everything. And the reactions for him were always great."

Apparently, Ryback would use that same AOL account to meet a woman on AOL. As the story goes, the former Skip Sheffield ended up running off when the woman did not look like her pictures.

"I met a girl on AOL, AOL chat or whatever. The girl was sending me pictures and she looked amazing. And she said she worked at an elementary school as a teacher, so I think I borrowed my parents' car, or one of their cars, and went to this high school. And she gave me her room number. It was after school. I had to go to the, like, I had to stop somewhere and get a pass. And then, went and walked into the room, to which this ginormous, looked nothing like the pictures. I stop. I freeze. I'm in high school, 16 probably. Like, this is really early on and like, stop, froze, and stared and seen. And she goes, 'oh hi' and her name, and I go, 'I'll be right back'. I literally turn, I walk out the door, I sprinted to the car as fast as I could. I got in the car, backed out as fast as I could, and I drove away as fast as I could. And she messages me 10 minutes later, 'what happened? Where did you go?' and I never responded back ever again."
