UFC Moves January PPV, Former Invicta FC Champion Wins Fight Appeal, Demetrious Johnson

- UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson is viewed by many as the top fighter in the world regardless of weight at the moment. This Saturday night, "Mighty Mouse" looks to secure his ninth successful title defense when he meets Tim Elliott.

Johnson and Elliott highlight The Ultimate Fighter 24 Finale card, which airs on FOX Sports 1.

- The planned UFC 208 event at the end of January has been shifted from Anaheim to Brooklyn and will now take the spot previously filled by UFC 209. The change was first reported by the Los Angeles Daily News. No bouts had been made official for the UFC 208 event before it was moved.

The change leaves Bellator 170 unopposed that evening, as that card will feature Chael Sonnen vs. Tito Ortiz from The Forum. The UFC 208 number will go with the February 11 card from the Barclays Center.

- Tonya Evinger is once again the Invicta FC bantamweight champion after successfully appealing her loss to Yana Kunitskaya in November. Evinger based her appeal on the referee forcing her out of a legal position, which in turn allowed Kunitskaya to tighten her armbar and scoring the stunning submission win.

Evinger posted that her appeal to the Missouri Athletic Commission was successful on social media. The bout is now a no-contest and Invicta FC officials will likely make a rematch soon.
