- The announce team welcomes us to the show and runs down tonight's card. Straight to the ring for singles action.
Drew Gulak vs. Cedric Alexander
Alicia follows Cedric to the ring. Cedric sends her on her way and she's not happy about it. She calls Alexander a "rookie in her book" and herself "hot chocolate." Dar comes down for a Foxy assist, but Alexander sends him running. Cedric takes out all parties involved and goes flying all over Gulak and Dar. Gulak attacks from behind with the chop block and Alexander is down. He shakes it off and wants to start the match. Good build for a baby face here.
Alexander wants the match started and the bell is rang. He immediately attacks, but quickly reversed by Gulak. Alexander hits a drop kick but drops in pain selling the leg. Gulak catches Alexander on the apron and hits a dragon screw between the ropes. Gulak continues to work over the leg as Alexander writhes in pain. Alexander creates separation and sends Gulak to the outside. Both men back in Alexander lands a few strikes, but not much behind them. Alexander doing a great sell job here, but going for nearly every move in his arsenal that involves the leg. Another chop block from Gulak. Belly-to-Back Suplex into a bridge cover. One, two, and three. Gulak picks up the victory.
Winner via Pinfall: Drew Gulak
- After the match, Dar and Fox in the back watching the monitor. Dar says that's what he's done for her. She apparently disagrees and gives Dar a love tap.
- Video package looking at the Neville/Swann feud ahead of their championship match at Royal Rumble. These things never disappoint.
Mustafa Ali vs. Tony Nese
Before the match, Dasha interviews Nese. He talks about being automatically prepared for the match based on him being the premiere athlete. Ali posted a great video earlier in the day with an inspirational promo. A closely contested handshake gets us started. Ali's quickness gains him the edge early and then into some technical prowess before some high flying. You want it, these guys got it. Ali showing a bit of personality as well before he hits a swift kick. Ali getting a bit confident and taking too much time setting up an aerial maneuver. Nese hits a kick to the gut that places Ali right on his shoulders for a gut buster. Nese stays on him as he applies a body scissors to cut off the air. Ali able to break out, but is tripped up by Nese. Nese goes for a springboard moonsault but comes up empty. Ali flips back in the ring and hits a flurry of baseball style chops. Nese swings and misses on a corner attack and is met with a back side enziguri. Roll-through neck breaker, one of my favorite moves in Ali's arsenal, is only good for a two. Tornado DDT from Ali and Nese out after a long two. Ali selling the ribs as he's picked up and pinned in the corner. Ali tries to escape, but Nese grabs the tights and pulls Ali into a German Suplex into the ropes. This sets up a huge Running Kneese for the win.
Winner via Pinfall: Tony Nese
- Injury update on Tajiri. He has a knee injury and and could be out for a few months.
- Video package looking at Akira Tozawa. Apollo Crews puts him over as our English commentary for the video. Tozawa debuts soon.
Jack Gallagher vs. Ariya Daivari (I Forfeit Match)
Quick tie-up leads to an uppercut from the gentleman. They trade holds and reversals early on. Ankle pick from Gallagher sets up a driving surfboard. Official is carrying a mic and asks Daivari if he forfeits to an immediate no. Gallagher grabs his trusty companion William the Umbrella. Daivari attacks, takes William, and breaks him in half. Daivari with a side slam onto the apron. Gallagher says no once again and Daivari goes straight into a submission for more multiple no's. Daivari grabs the mic, rips the crowd, and tells Gallagher to give up. After an emphatic no, he sends the gentleman into the barricade.
Daivari works the face area as he sets the hooks into the nostrils and eyes of Gallagher and then elbows across the side of the head. In hopes that Gallagher doesn't do yoga, Daivari stretches him across the ring post and Gallagher refuses to forfeit. Daivari grabs his garb, blinds Gallagher for a forearm, and proceeds to tie Gallagher's arm as a leash into several short arm clotheslines. Gallagher essentially handcuffed by the garb, but uses his educated head and feet to send Daivari to the outside. He unties himself and goes searching for toys under the ring. It's William #2, Francesca's long lost brother! We're all the way at the entrance ramp and they bounce off the LED board. Daivari looking for a power bomb, but Gallagher reverses and catapults Daivari into the board. William becoming a factor after repeated shots to the back of Daivari. Gallagher politely asks the announce team to move and he sends Daivari across.
You know it's getting serious when Gallagher's hair is out of place. Another William shows himself from the time keeper's area. Jack politely asks Daivari to forfeit. He looks to be announcing it before hitting a shot to the throat of Gallagher. He applies a deep Cobra Clutch, but Gallagher able to grab William III and break it up. He transitions into an umbrella assisted crossface chicken wing. Daivari struggles momentarily before saying "I forfeit." Gallagher is your winner of this quarrel. Fun little match.
Winner via Forfeit: Jack Gallagher
