WWE NXT Results (6/7): Itami/Lorcan Slug Fest, Dain Dances To Victory, Multiple Debuts, More

Tonight's episode features a frustrated Hideo Itami taking on the hard hitting Boston Brawler in Oney Lorcan. No Way Jose hopes to salsa all over SAnitY's behemoth, Killian Dain. There are also rumor of NXT Champion Bobby Roode making appearance for his glorious celebration.

- After the announce team welcomes us to the show and runs down the card, we go straight to the ring for our first match.

Heavy Machinery vs. Victor Andrews and Lars Sullivan

I know Victor Andrews from the NC indie scene, and he is no small guy. Lars makes him look like a little fella. Knight and Sullivan start us off. Love Dozovic's running commentary from the corner. They trade holds and tests of strength. They have a stalemate on the first two shoulder blocks, but Sullivan takes Knight down with a big clothesline. Sullivan with an impressive catch and slam on Knight. Andrews wants in and immediate gets dropped with a toe hold. Heavy Machinery plays catch with Andrews and meets him in the middle with a meeting of the...bellies. The Knight Train is on track and takes out Andrews in the corner. HM hits their double team, called "The Compactor," for the win.

Winners via Pinfall: Heavy Machinery

- After the match, Sullivan is once again unhappy with his tag partner's performance. Poor Andrews takes a beating and sells it like a million bucks as officials try to stop the brutality.

- Backstage with SAnitY after No Way Jose's return last week. Killian Dain seems to be ready to hurt the jovial superstar.

- Roderick Strong out to address the NXT Universe. He says the past several months have been a whirlwind. He has a fiance, new baby boy, and has a spot on NXT. He said he opened up his story to the world, and thanks everyone for their support. He says he's here to win the NXT Championship and he's more focused than ever. The NXT Champion Bobby Roode comes out with a hanky to the eye after being some moved from Strong's story. Roode says Strong must be proud since he is winning matches (finally). Roode says no one uses magic or fairytales to get championship opportunities, you have to earn them. Roode calls Strong a "good hand" and to stay in his lane. Them's fightin' words. Roode says he'll gladly take a photo with him to take home to his son. Roode tells Strong not to play the Bobby Roode lottery, and best of luck.

- On a rooftop with Nikki Cross, I think. She's looking for Asuka and Ruby Riot and wants to "play." The triple threat elimination match for the NXT Women's Championship will happen next week.

- Vignette for the Authors of Pain with Paul Ellering.

Sarah Logan vs. Peyton Royce

The announcers acknowledge Sarah Logan's past to an extent, noting she is well trained. Royce a bit nonchalant early on and gets a fireman's carry over the shoulder for her troubles. Big kick from Royce out of nowhere gets a two count. Royce with a submission locked in. Logan slips out and turns it into a cover. Royce looking for three amigas but turns the third into a slam. Lazy cover for a two. Logan with a drop kick to get some space and some straight rights provides some pain to the chest of Royce. Running knee from Logan for a two. Royce has had enough and hits a nice combo of strikes to lead to her Fisherman's Suplex for the win.

Winner via Pinfall: Peyton Royce

- Look back at Almas taking a surprising loss last week. We're shown Almas on his way to a party with a pair of ladies. Thea Trinidad appears and asks "is this what you are now?" He says yes, and Trinidad serves him a slap and walks away. Interesting new pairing.

- Before the next match, Christy St. Cloud asks Hideo Itami if he's going back to Japan. He gives a definitive "no" and says he worked hard to get here, and isn't done yet.

Hideo Itami vs. Oney Lorcan

They feel each other out early with a series of reversals and some nice mat wrestling. Itami not holding back on his strikes as the reverberate throughout Full Sail. Lorcan gets a couple shots in, but not before a knee trips him up off a rope run. Itami looking for a corner attack, but gets caught by the boot of Lorcan. Running Blockbuster from the Boston native. Lorcan heads toward the outside, but an Itami kick is waiting on him. Lorcan starts with some chops, but it only fires Itami up. Lorcan hits another gear and goes to town and tops them off with two running uppercuts. Lorcan flies from the top to the outside with a cannonball like dive. Back in the ring and Itami feigns an injury and takes out the leg of Lorcan. Itami returns the favor with a bevy of strikes. Itami hits the GTS, but refuses to cover. Itami hits two more and still has yet to cover. Kassius Ohno comes out to prevent any further injury, but Itami shoves him. After a quick thought, Ohno shoves him back. Itami retreats up the ramp. The bell ring and it's rules a no contest.

Result: No Contest

- Next week's episode will feature the triple threat women's title match as well as Drew McIntyre in action.

- Christy St. Cloud backstage with Ember Moon. Ember said she admittedly lost her first shot at the title, and missed her second earned shot. Although the title is on her mind, she has a problem in Peyton Royce and Billie Kay to take care of.

No Way Jose vs. Killian Dain

The party commences as Jose makes his way to the ring. Killian Dain has a reworked SAnitY theme to fit his Irish roots. Dain looks to attack right at the bell. Jose defends himself well and tries to be on the offensive, but gets matched each time. Jose flies everywhere and the big man finally rolls to the outside to regroup as we go to break.

We're back and Dain has the upper hand, or paw. Running cross body takes out Jose and corners him. Dain methodically on the attack. Big elbow drops from the three hundred pounder who gets met with "fuzzy wuzzy" from the extremely self-aware Full Sail crowd. A Guinness Drop (Samoan) from Dain and the decimation continues. Rear cross face type strikes from Dain and a pointed elbow to finish it off. Jose up in the electric chair and finds a way safely to the ground. Jose throwing right hands to create space but Dain refuses to go down. Jose hits an impressive TKO on the big man for a near fall. Jose winds up for the pitch, but Dain hits it out of the park with a headbutt. Beautiful drop kick from Dain. Second time is the charm as Dain ends Jose with an electric chair slam.
