Health Update On Katsuyori Shibata, High Demand For Wrestle Kingdom 12 Tickets, Mandy Leon (Video)
- Above is an ROH Women of Honor match from Global Wars: Buffalo between Mandy Leon and Jenny Rose. Using a pump-handle package driver, Leon is able to pick up the victory.
- As noted, yesterday NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 12 tickets went on sale for overseas fans and NJPW is saying the allotted tickets for their English site have already sold out, but they are looking to add more soon. To be clear, the show itself has not sold out, yet.
"Due to high popular demand, 'Wrestle Kingdom 12' tickets are currently sold-out via the e-plus English site. Additional tickets are planned to be made available soon. We deeply apologize to overseas customers for this inconvenience."
- From STRIGGA of Purolove.com, Katsuyori Shibata provided an update on his health via his blog. Shibata was injured during his main event match with Kazuchika Okada at NJPW's Sakura Genesis on April 9th. During the match, Shibata hit Okada with a stiff headbutt, which caused Shibata to start bleeding from the forehead. Shibata was taken to the hospital after the match and was diagnosed with subdural hematoma and underwent successful surgery, followed by months of rehabilitation. Shibata wrote yesterday that he realizes now that he can't "fix" his body as quickly as he thought, so he's trying to find balance with his treatment as he looks to improve. The change of season (air pressure, temperature, humidity) and being out in crowded areas have proven difficult for the NJPW star. Also, just a note, in the description he mentioned not doing "shock therapy" lately, which STRIGGA later clarified as "electrotherapy." You can read Shibata's full entry below.
I was busy in recent weeks so I didn't follow Katsuyori Shibata's blog, but here is his new entry from today: pic.twitter.com/YN8qFWZklk
