Finn Balor Clears Up "NXT Dallas: Takeover" Rumor, Reveals His Dream WrestleMania Matches
Finn Balor recently spoke to Ringside Collectibles at Ringside Fest 2017. During the conversation, he addressed a longstanding rumor and revealed his WrestleMania dream matches.
Balor was asked about which "Demon King" ring attire was his favorite and he pointed to the multi-color design he wore at NXT TakeOver: Dallas last year when we defended the NXT Championship against Samoa Joe. Balor admitted he initially thought the red and blue combination looked stupid, but later warmed to the design when he saw himself as an action figure. Balor then put the rumors of him having an accident in that match to rest.
"I want to tell everyone, there was a rumor that went around that I pooped my pants in that match," he explained, "but it was actually the sweat on the baby blue trunks... So when Joe picked me up for the Muscle Buster and faced the hard cam, my butt was facing directly at the hard cam and everyone goes, 'Oh my God, Finn's pooped his pants!' But it was just sweat, and maybe a little bit of Joe's blood because I busted him open that day, too."
Balor was also asked about which wrestlers he'd want to go against on the grandest stage of them all, WrestleMania. He couldn't settle on just one wrestler, so he named a couple legends and a popular current superstar.
"There's a lot of people I would love to face... Triple H, Undertaker, AJ Styles. Either one of them, singles, one-on-one. Listen, I could wrestle eight matches at WrestleMania if I wanted to. I'm fit."
Balor and Styles already tore the house down at the TLC pay-per-view last month, so them battling at WrestleMania would likely produce fireworks. A match between the Demon King and The Undertaker would likely include some epic entrances. Balor's high-flying, fast-paced approach would be a stark contrast to Triple H's bruising, smash-mouth style.
