Former WWE announcer, Jonathan Coachman, confirmed on Twitter that he parted ways with ESPN after working for them since 2008. Previous to that, “Coach” worked for WWE from 1999 until 2008.
In regards to his exit, he said it was “just time to leave ESPN” for both “professional and personal reasons” after a fan asked if he would be coming back to TV.

Coachman was a big part of WWE getting more coverage on ESPN, doing a weekly “Off the Top Rope” segment, among other coverage. As for his future, he said several projects are in the works and will talk about them when the time is right.
