JJ Dillon Responds To Allegations By Eric Bischoff That He Tried To Disclose WWE Talent Pay

Eric Bischoff recently alleged that JJ Dillon attempted to disclose privileged WWE talent pay information to him when they were working together in WCW. Dillon recently appeared on The Hannibal TV to address the allegations.

Bischoff said he refused to look at the information Dillon offered him. Dillon said through his experience working in the WWE front office, it was part of his job to generally know the talent salaries off the top of his head. Even though he would offer advice based on his experience, Dillon said he would never go as far as to outright reveal what kind of money a wrestler was making.

"I had been involved with contracts and knew what everybody was making, and I would regard divulging proof of that as proprietary information that would've been inappropriate for me to document to him," Dillon said. "Did I have ballpark numbers that were in my mind? Yes. And if there was a discussion, I could've talked in generalities... I could, in generalities without giving him specifics, help him with my knowledge in a subtle way."

Dillon said he doesn't believe he was used to the best of his abilities during his time with WCW. He said he doesn't have any ill feelings towards Bischoff.

"I have no ax to grind with Eric Bischoff," he said. "Eric is a good-looking guy, dresses well, presents himself well. He could be the salesman who could sell anything because he has the gift of gab for presentation and he's very smart that way. He's not a wrestling person, I don't think he's particularly knowledgeable in our business. Whatever his opinion of me is and his assessment of my capabilities professionally or personally, to be honest I could care less. But I don't have any personal animosity towards him."

Dillon did manage to take a dig at Bischoff for not succeeding as the head of WCW. He accepted no responsibility for the company ending because he said he had no influence within the company at the time.

"He failed. He didn't fail because of me," Dillon said. "At one point, Kevin Sullivan and I were put on the shelf. We had contracts and were being paid, and we were sent to Siberia. Whatever happened from that point that was to the demise of the company that they ceased to exist, two people who can share none of the burden of the responsibility would be Kevin Sullivan and myself."
