Kurt Angle Wrestling At WWE Live Event For First Time In 11 Years
Kurt Angle announced this afternoon that he will be wrestling at today's RAW live event in Birmingham, England. It is his first live event since 2006. His opponent has yet to be revealed.
"Birmingham UK!!! WWE Raw is here!" Angle tweeted. "My first 'WWE live event' in 11 years, in which I will be wrestling."
Angle returned to action at WWE TLC in late October as a late replacement for Roman Reigns, who was pulled from the main event after contracting the mumps. It was his first WWE match since August of 2006. Angle teamed with Seth Rollins & Dean Ambrose to defeat Braun Strowman, Sheamus, Cesaro, Kane & The Miz in a 3-on-5 handicap TLC match after Angle pinned The Miz.
Angle will wrestle his second WWE pay-per-view match this year at next week's Survivor Series pay-per-view, where he will captain Team RAW to face Team SmackDown, captained by Shane McMahon. The full current Survivor Series card is at this link.
