News On Who David Otunga Claims Jennifer Hudson Was Secretly Dating, Response To Domestic Incident

David Otunga reportedly confronted his ex-fiance, Grammy award winning singer Jennifer Hudson, last week over having a secret relationship with music producer Mali Music, according to TMZ. As noted, a domestic battery misdemeanor investigation was opened over the dispute which resulted in Hudson receiving a protective order against Otunga.

TMZ stated that Otunga reportedly believes that Hudson and Mali Music have been secretly dating for months. Hudson denies having a relationship with the producer, who she once referred to as her "dream artist."

As noted, Hudson claims that she was at a recording session in Chicago last Wednesday with their 8-year-old son. Otunga apparently made several phone calls to her and when she couldn't be reached, he asked their son to record the session to show that she was dating the producer. She said that Otunga was visibly upset when she got home. She claims that Otunga grabbed their son by the hand and physically pushed Hudson out of the master suite, which was also witnessed by a makeup artist and an assistant.

Hudson received the protective order, claiming that Otunga displayed "aggressive, threatening and harassing behavior toward me" and that she is "now living in fear of further action David might take."

Otunga's attorney, Tracy M. Rizzo, denied Hudson's claims in the legal doc.

"Mr. Otunga wants to make it very clear that he denies each and every allegation contained in that petition. Mr. Otunga is now and has always been the primary caregiver of the parties' son," Rizzo told PEOPLE in a statement. "Ms. Hudson thought it was appropriate to have their son at a recording studio until 12:30 a.m. on a school night. Mr. Otunga's only concern that evening was putting the child to bed so that he could be well rested for school. At no time did Mr. Otunga 'physically push' Ms. Hudson as she has alleged. Everyone who knows Mr. Otunga in his personal life can attest to the fact that he is a highly educated, sophisticated, and non-violent man, and that his primary concern in life is caring for the parties' son."

As for Otunga repeatedly calling Hudson, Rizzo stated, "Ms. Hudson is much less available to care for the child as a result of her constant traveling, but Mr. Otunga has always notified Ms. Hudson of the child's activities and whereabouts."

Hudson also alleges that Otunga left a gun and holster on their kitchen counter. Although he claimed it was a movie prop, she said it was done because she's sensitive to firearms after her mother and brother were murdered by a firearm.

"I believe that he left it out to taunt, intimidate and frighten me, which he absolutely accomplished," Hudson said.

"Mr. Otunga does not own a firearm, and the gun referenced in Ms. Hudson's petition was a prop that he used for an audition, just as he told her it was at the time she saw it in their house," Rizzo said. "It is unfortunate that Ms. Hudson has filed this petition in a calculated manner to not only have Mr. Otunga removed from the family home, but also in an effort to insert herself as the child's primary caregiver."

Rizzo added that Otunga was informed of the protective order when police removed him from his home in the presence of their son last Thursday.

"Mr. Otunga only learned of the Order of Protection when the local police removed him from his home in the presence of the child at the direction of Ms. Hudson or her attorney."

As noted, Otunga was originally scheduled to appear on the Survivor Series pre-show panel this past Sunday, but pulled out of the appearance to focus on the custody battle.
