Who Topped The PWI "Female 50" List?

Asuka garnered the top spot in the 10th annual Pro Wrestling Illustrated "Female 50." Asuka had held the NXT Women's title for the entire evaluation period (October 1, 2016 – September 30, 2017) before relinquishing the belt on August 24 due to an injury. She made her main roster debut for RAW at WWE TLC last week.

Rounding out the top 10 are Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss, Sasha Banks, Bayley, Io Shirai, Natalya, Sienna, Naomi, and Kairi Sane.

This is the first PWI "Female 50" that ranks women who wrestle outside of the U.S. and Canada. Asuka, a 13-year veteran who competed as Kana before signing with WWE in 2015, is the first Japanese wrestler to earn the top spot. Earlier this year, Kazuchika Okada became the first Japanese wrestler to be named number one in the "PWI 500."
