- Tom Phillips announced a sold out crowd of 15,216 fans in attendance at the AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas for tonight's Hell In a Cell pay-per-view.

- Tonight's WWE Hell In a Cell Kickoff pre-show saw The New Day retain the SmackDown Tag Team Titles over Rusev Day, Aiden English and Rusev. The finish included more tension between Rusev and English, which allowed Big E and Kofi Kingston to retain. English tweeted the following after the loss:
