WWE NXT Results (10/31): Matt Riddle Makes In-Ring Debut, Nikki Cross Vs. Mercedes Martinez

- Recap of Aleister Black getting attacked in the parking lot by an unknown individual. We see clips of NXT GM William Regal trying to figure out who did it, along with Nikki Cross saying she knows who did it. Black finally returns and gets Cross to tell him who it was, Johnny Gargano. An angry Black showed up last week for Gargano, but ended up getting attacked from behind by him.

Nikki Cross vs. Mercedes Martinez

Crowd with a nice pop for Martinez. Some back and forth chain wrestling to get things going, crowd is somewhat split between these two. Martinez with an overhead suplex to get Cross off of her. Cross sits on the top rope, kicks away Martinez, but she charges against and yanks Cross off the turnbuckle. Martinez with a couple kicks, cover, two. Guillotine locked in by Martinez, tries for a forearm, blocked, Cross lands some of her own, along with a couple clotheslines.

Cross charges into the corner with a splash, running bulldog, high crossbody off the top rope, pin, two-count. Martinez with a backdrop driver, and hits another one, release german suplex, running high knee, looking for a fisherman buster, nope. Cross drops Martinez, looks like she has a bloody nose, hits the purge, cover, 1-2-3.

Winner: Nikki Cross via Pinfall

- Post-match, Cross and Martinez stare at each other a bit. Cross seemed to enjoy that match as Martinez scoots out of the ring. Candice LeRae heads out to the ring and has some words with Cross. She doesn't seem to happy about Cross' role with Gargano/Black. Cross just laughs and heads out of the ring as LeRae says "You're messing with people's lives! It's not funny!" Cross goes to head to the back, stops, and backs up as Aleister Black walks towards her. She decides to exit from the other side of the stage. Black turns his attention to LeRae and heads to the ring. She looks to say something to him and he wants to know where Gargano is, she says he's not here tonight. Black leaves the ring and heads to the back.

- Last month, The Mighty defeated the Street Profits and they will go head-to-head again next.

Street Profits vs. The Mighty

Dawkins and Thorne gets things started, Dawkins with a flurry of punches, then a couple shoulder blocks to both Thorne and Miller. Thorne is able to tag out, Dawkins with a flapjack and tags in Ford. Big swing to Miller's back, dropkick to Thorne, goes back and forth with attacks. Lands a nice flip over both guys, double dropkick, and hits a front flip over the top rope down to the floor on The Mighty. Ford tries to flip in from the apron, spinebuster by Miller, cover, two.

Thorne tagged in, he continues to work over Ford, hard chop to his back. Thorne with some light kicks to the face. Ford tries to fight his way out of The Mighty's corner, but Thorne hits a modified falcon arrow, cover, two. Ford again tries to tag out, Thorne stops him, jackknife pin, two. Dawkins finally gets the hot tag and lights up both opponents. Lands a bunch of punches in the corner, dodges Miller, who hits his own partner. Dawkins with a power slam on Thorne, big haymaker, cover, and Miller breaks up the cover.

Fords tags in, Miller with the distraction as Ford goes up top. Assisted superplex, that kind of looked like Thorne ended up getting powerbombed by his own partner. Cover and Dawkins breaks it up. Dawkins with a sky-high on Miller (who goes out of the ring), but Thorne smacks Dawkins out of the ring. Ford kicks Thorne to the mat, quickly heads to the top and nails a big frog splash, cover, 1-2-3.

Winners: Street Profits via Pinfall

- Post-match, they gets back their party cups and celebrates in the crowd.

- Backstage, Cathy Kelley talks with NXT GM William Regal who says Tommaso Ciampa will defend the NXT Championship against Velveteen Dream. Black shows up and wants Gargano. Regal says Gargano is home, but Black will get Gargano at NXT TakeOver: WarGames.

- Backstage, a camera crew finds a fired up Lars Sullivan. A brave soul asked Sullivan why he's heated, Sullivan says Dream took his spot and Sullivan will just have to rip him apart so he can get his spot.

Matt Riddle vs. Luke Menzies

This is Riddle's NXT in-ring debut. Riddle looks to take down his opponent early on, doesn't have luck early on. Some test of strength with Menzies, Riddle able to transition into an armbar, but gets stacked up for a two-count. Crowd with a "Bro!" chant. Menzies goes for a handshake, then lands a shoulder block. Riddle with lands some hefty kicks to the chest, jumping forearm, tries for another, but nobody home. Menzies with a headbutt, overhead toss, cover, two.

Menzies with a kick to the back of the head, then lands a bunch of strikes to Riddle's chest. Riddle fights back with palm strikes, hits a weak kick, kip-up, tries for a penalty kick, no, standing moonsault and lands on his feet. Riddle with a penalty kick, knee to the face, lands a bunch of elbows to the side of the head, bromission (twister) and that will do it.

Winner: Matt Riddle via Submission

- Recap of Shayna Baszler defeating Kairi Sane for the NXT Women's Championship at last weekend's Evolution. We see clips of The Four Horsewomen's interference that cost Sane the title. After the match, Baszler said she lost last time against Sane and that Sane didn't beat her. Sane yells "Shayna!" from off-camera and is not happy. Baszler taunts her a bit about not being the champion anymore as Sane crumples to the ground.

- Next week, Lacey Evans will be in action, also Velveteen Dream vs. Lars Sullivan.

Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch vs. Raul Mendoza and Humberto Carrillo

Mendoza uses the ropes to evade Burch early on. Mendoza hits a head scissors takedown, tags in Carrillo, second rope attack. Burch with some european uppercuts. Lorcan tagged in, big chop to the chest and brings Burch right back in for a moment, Lorcan/Burch try for a double team move, he gets rid of Burch, Carrillo hits a massive springboard arm drag. Both Mendoz and Carrillo hit suicide dives. Carrillo drops Lorcan to the mat, heads up to the top rope, looks for a massive moonsault, but Lorcan gets his feet up and boots him in the face.

Lorcan with a big strike in the corner. Burch tagged in, Carrillo able to escape them, tags Mendoza in. Mendoza slips the ropes to avoid Lorcan and Burch, double dropkick on both opponents. Big kick in the corner, Burch with a hip toss into the turnbuckle. Lorcan tagged in and hits a lariat on Carrillo. High elevation DDT by Lorcan and Burch on Mendoza for the victory.

- Backstage, Undisputed Era say they are on top of the world and welcome back Bobby Fish. They ask Fish and Cole if they are ready for War Raiders, Fish says he was born ready. Cole goes to talk some trash about Rowe and Hanson, but they end up getting attacked from behind. War Raiders destroyed all of Undisputed Era, Cole gets thrown into a table as they fight all the way outside the building. Cole gets picked up and launched like a lawn dart (a la Mysterio) into a production truck. Fish gets sent over a table. O'Reilly gets slammed on a table. Strong shows up with a garbage can and finally gets some offense in on Rowe and Hanson. Undisputed Era join in with some weapons as they swing away.

Ricochet suddenly shows up, leaps off a table and takes out most of Undisputed Era. Ricochet focuses his attention on Cole and swings away on him. Ricochet ends up getting thrown into a metal fence. Fish tries to get away, but the door is locked, Hanson ends up sending him and O'Reilly into a metal door. The brawl spills back near the ring. Strong gets sends up and over the barricade! Basically everyone gets into the ring, Hanson gets nailed with a chair to the leg. Cole with a superkick to Ricochet as the numbers games finally catch up with them. Pete Dunne's music hits and head heads out with a chair! Dunne with a shot to the midsection and hand of Cole. He smacks O'Reilly with the chair as Ricochet and War Raiders clean up the rest of Undisputed Era.

A grumpy Regal comes out and tells the eight of them that this is not how things will get settled. At NXT TakeOver, they will all be in WarGames! Crowd pops nicely for the announcement. Undisputed Era is not happy, but the other team is more than fine with that match. Crowd yells "War!" over and over as the show ends.
