WWE NXT Results (12/12): Ricochet Defends Title, Mia Yim In Action, EC3 Vs. Bobby Fish

- Undisputed Era heads out to the ring, Cole on the mic, says the holidays are coming early after Fish destroys EC3. Cole says EC3 made the mistake of messing with Undisputed Era and that this is their world and the NXT TakeOver shows revolve around them. Cole makes a promise and says in 2019 they will be draped in gold, out comes EC3.

EC3 vs. Bobby Fish (with Adam Cole, Roderick Strong, and Kyle O'Reilly)

Fish with some stalling early on. EC3's knee is wrapped up still from Fish's attack with a chair. Fish up on the apron, EC3 brings him into the ring and hammers away in the corner. Fish tossed into the corner, he dives down to try and take hold of EC3's weak knee, but ends up getting powerbombed to the mat. EC3 with a big clothesline with both of them going out to the floor.

EC3 hops back in the ring as Fish looks dazed out on the floor. Back in the ring, EC3 lights Fish up with some chops. Strong and O'Reilly with distractions and Fish hits a chop block. Fish with multiple punches to the head and midsection, dragon screw leg whip. EC3 recovers, body slam, elbow drop. Strong and O'Reilly on the apron again, EC3 knocks both to the floor, but Fish gets in another chop block. EC3 with a quick roll-up and gets the win.

Winner: EC3 via Pinfall

- Post-match, Undisputed Era jumps in the ring and attacks EC3. Heavy Machinery runs out for the save and clears out the ring. O'Reilly doesn't quite make it out of the ring though, EC3 hits the one percenter on O'Reilly. Otis then hits the worm into an elbow drop.

- Dakota Kai and Io Shirai talk to the media about Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir previously sneak attacking them. Kai and Shirai want the two of them in a tag match, next week.

- Two weeks ago, we see The Mighty's post-match attack on Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch. Burch and Lorcan had just won the match, but The Mighty didn't take the loss very well. The two teams will lock up again tonight.

The Mighty vs. Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch

Lorcan and Thorne start out, but Burch and Miller immediately jump in, too. Three of the four fall out to the floor, Orcan flips out and over the top rope on The Mighty. Lorcan and Thorne trade back elbows in the ring. Lorcan with a powerbomb right into a single-leg crap. Lorcan with a chop to send Miller back to his corner. Miller gets the tag, hits a clothesline in the corner, spinebuster, cover, two-count. Burch gets tagged in, swings away, hits lou thesz press on Thorne, hits kicks in the corner on both opponents.

Missile dropkick off the top turnbuckle, tags in Lorcan. Lorcan heads to the top rope, but Thorne nails him and sends Burch on his way. The Mighty hits a suplex/powerbomb combo on Lorcan, cover, and Burch breaks up the pin. Burch and Lorcan sent into the corner, Lorcan is powerslammed. Thorne leaps off Miller's back into a cannonball on Burch in the corner. The Mighty try to life Lorcan, he counters with a double DDT. Lorcan with some massive chops to both opponents, then they give him double chops. Burch gets tagged in and nails a headbutt on Thorne. Double team high-elevation DDT on Thorne, cover, 1-2-3.

Winners: Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch via Pinfall

- Last week, we see the segment between NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa, Aleister Black (who wanted his rematch against Ciampa at NXT TakeOver: Phoenix), and Johnny Gargano. Ciampa ends up getting the attention off him and on Black / Gargano. Black eventually agreed he would fight Gargano anywhere, nearly hitting him with black mass. Gargano would bail out of the ring, Gargano was on the apron, laughing at what was going on and ended up getting black mass.

- Next week: Aleister Black vs. Johnny Gargano in a steel cage.

- Outside, Johnny Gargano responded the the upcoming match. Gargano is still saying he never did anything wrong, the ends justify the means, which is him becoming NXT Champion. He says Black is just getting in his way, his path, Gargano will do what he needs to do to make sure this story ends the right way. He continues that next week he'll close the book on Black.

- Vignette for Dominik Dijakovic, who will be debuting on NXT, next week.

- Backstage, Cathy Kelley talks with NXT Women's Champion Shayna Baszler (with Duke and Shafir behind her) about the next number one contender. Baszler isn't worried, no matter who it is. Kelley then asks Duke and Shafir about the challenge from Kai and Shirai, they just busted up laughing. Baszler says they're ready and accept the challenge.

- William Regal announced Lacey Evans will join Bianca Belair in the upcoming Fatal Four-Way match to determine the next number one contender. Evans defeated Xia Li to gain entry into the match.

Mia Yim vs. Reina Gonzalez

Gonzalez goes right after Yim, but gets caught in a standing guillotine. Crowd very much behind Yim in this one. Yim looks for her finisher, blocked, dodges a clothesline, and goes for another standing guillotine. Gonzalez ends up lifting her off and draping her over the top rope.

Yim gets yanked down to the mat and gets stomped out. Gonzalez with a big left hand, kick to the face, cover, two. Gonzalez gets locked in a backbreaker submission, Yim able to counter out of it, sending Gonzalez into the ropes. Yim with a bunch of chops, knee to the face, kick to the head. Eat defeat hits, cover, 1-2-3.

Winner: Mia Yim via Pinfall to advance to the Fatal Four-Way Number One Contender Match

- The Fatal Four-Way Number One Contender Match now features: Mia Yim, Bianca Belair, and Lacey Evans.

- Backstage, NXT North American Champion Ricochet is getting ready for his match.

- Random location, Aleister Black says everybody is asking him how he feels about his upcoming steel cage match against Johnny Gargano. Black says he doesn't feel anything, he just simply has to do this, he says Gargano is far beyond redemption and the only thing left is total annihilation. Black says Gargano will simply fade to black.

- Next week: Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir vs. Io Shirai and Dakota Kai

Ricochet vs. Tyler Breeze (NXT North American Championship)

Crowd pops big for a returning Breeze and give him a "Welcome Back!" chant. Crowd with a split "Tyler's Gorgeous!" and "Ricochet!" chant as the two lock up. Breeze with a hip toss and then strikes a pose up on the top turnbuckle, Ricochet smiles and backs away. Ricochet dodges Breeze, launches him across the ring, hits a dropkick, and Breeze takes a moment. Back in the ring, Ricochet with a big lariat, looks to fly to the outside, Breeze moves at first. Ricochet looks for a crossbody off the apron and Breeze hits him midair with a dropkick.

Back in the ring, Breeze stomps away at Ricochet in the corner until the ref finally gets him to back off. Breeze put his hands on the ref who barks at Breeze for doing that. Ricochet gets put up on the top turnbuckle, Breeze heads up, but gets punched away. Huge knee lift by Ricochet, dropkick, running back elbow. Ricochet with a springboard uppercut, standing shooting star press, cover, two. Ricochet heads up to the top rope, he goes for a phoenix splash, rolls through, but Breeze hits him with a right hand. Back and forth shots from both Superstars.

Double punches, double kicks, double clotheslines, both block superkicks, then they collide in the center of the ring. They continue to swing away on each other as they both get up to their feet. Ricochet tries for a suplex, multiple counters, supermodel kick hits, reverse hurricanrana on Ricochet, cover, two! Both are out of it as Ricochet says this is his house now. Breeze with a kick to the midsection, Ricochet with a big kick to the face, jumping knee by Breeze followed by an enziguri. Beauty shot is caught in midair, fireman's carry, Breeze is planted to the mat, 1-2-3.

Winner: Ricochet via Pinfall to retain the NXT North American Championship

- Post-match, Ricochet celebrates a bit and extends a hand to Breeze and Breeze shakes it.
