As noted earlier in the week, via Pro Wrestling Sheet, WWE has had talks with former WWE Champion Batista about possibly wrestling a match at WrestleMania 35 in April. Batista has also been entertaining an offer from All Elite Wrestling as they have interest in bringing him in, possibly for the AEW Double Or Nothing event in May.
In an update, PWInsider reports that The Animal met with officials at WWE HQ in Stamford, CT last Thursday. There's no word yet on how that meeting went but the original report stated that Batista was "50/50 on returning at this point" based on how the talks with WWE have gone.
Batista last appeared for WWE at SmackDown 1000 in October and teased a match with Evolution partner Triple H. That match could happen at WrestleMania 35 as Triple H was cleared to return to training back in mid-January after suffering a torn pectoral muscle at WWE Crown Jewel this past November. Batista is scheduled to start filming the "Dune" movie in March of this year, but that does not rule out a ring return.
