As seen in the video above, English football/soccer legends Jamie Carragher and Roy Keane launched into AEW President Tony Khan for his tweet following Fulham F.C.'s 0-3 loss to Aston Villa on Monday.

"He's a clown [to] get involved in that," Carragher said on Sky Sports' Monday Night Football broadcast.

"Is he the owner or the CEO?" asked Carragher. When told by the host that Tony is the Director of Football and son of Fulham F.C. owner, Shahid Khan, Carragher said the tweet could have an adverse effect on the Fulham squad.

"Just keep your mouth shut," said Caragher. "Didn't he also get involved a few years ago? Wasn't he the one buying players and messing it all up? Just shut your mouth and keep your head down," he added.

Meanwhile, Keane said that it was not a good idea for Tony to be engaging with supporters.

"You shouldn't be discussing the club's business with fans on Twitter. Just take your medicine and look at things over the next few days," said the Manchester United legend.

In his tweet on Monday, Tony wrote, "I apologize to @FulhamFC supporters for our performance tonight. We've looked to add centre-backs since Wembley, I'm sorry we haven't yet as 2 got COVID + we lost a Free we thought was close + had another issue with a 4th CB. I promise players in + better efforts from this squad."

Tony Khan, the founder and CEO of AEW, is also actively involved in the front office of NFL franchise, the Jacksonville Jaguars.
