NJPW New Japan Cup Results: Will Ospreay vs. Hiroyoshi Tenzan

The first round of the NJPW New Japan Cup continued today with Will Ospreay defeating Hiroyoshi Tenzan and Zack Sabre Jr. beating Gabriel Kidd. The finals happen on March 21 with the winner getting a IWGP World Heavyweight Championship match against Kota Ibushi on April 4 at Sakura Genesis.

* Yota Tsuji defeated Yuya Uemura
* Jeff Cobb and Great-O-Khan defeated Tomoaki Honma and Satoshi Kojima
* Hiroshi Tanahashi, Juice Robinson, Henare, and Ryusuke Taguchi defeated Dick Togo, Jay White, EVIL, and KENTA
* Shingo Takagi, Tetsuya Naito, SANADA, and BUSHI defeated SHO, Kazuchika Okada, Hirooki Goto, and Tomohiro Ishii
* Zack Sabre Jr. defeated Gabriel Kidd (New Japan Cup Match)
* Will Ospreay defeated Hiroyoshi Tenzan (New Japan Cup Match)

The tournament continues on Tuesday with Yuji Nagata vs. Yota Tsuji and Tomohiro Ishii vs. SANADA. Here is the updated bracket:
