Released WWE Superstar Files For New Trademarks

Former WWE Superstar Chelsea Green filed to trademark her own name on April 15, the same day she was released from her WWE contract along with 9 other Superstars. She also filed to trademark a nickname.

Green file to trademark her name for merchandise and general entertainment & pro wrestling use. The following use descriptions were filed with the USPTO (United States Patent & Trademark Office):

"IC 025. US 022 039. G & S: Hats; Shirts; Socks; Bandanas; Sweatshirts; Hooded sweatshirts"

"IC 041. US 100 101 107. G & S: Entertainment in the nature of wrestling contests; Entertainment services, namely, live appearances by a professional wrestler and sports entertainment personality; Entertainment services, namely, personal appearances by a professional wrestling and sports entertainment personality; Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibits and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer; Providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; Providing online interviews featuring a professional wrestler and sports entertainer in the field of professional wrestling and sports entertainment for entertainment purposes"

WWE has had a "Chelsea Green" trademark application on file since September 24, 2020. The use description for that filing reads like this:

Green also filed to trademark the "Hot Mess" name on April 15. The following use description was included with the filing:

Green will be free to sign with a new company once her WWE 90-day non-compete clause expires on Wednesday, July 14.
