WWE Files To Trademark New Names For Nikki Cross

WWE has filed to trademark several names for Nikki Cross.

Cross recently started using the "Almost A Super Hero" gimmick and after filing a trademark for Nikki A.S.H. last week, WWE has now filed trademarks for Nikki ASHE, Nikki AASH and NikkiASH.

The trademarks were filed on July 1. The following use descriptions were included with the USPTO (United States Patent & Trademark Office) filing:

"Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer rendered live and through broadcast media including television and radio, and via the internet or commercial online service; providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; providing information in the fields of sports and entertainment via an online community portal; providing a website in the field of sports entertainment information; fan club services, namely, organizing sporting events in the field of wrestling for wrestling fan club members; organizing social entertainment events for entertainment purposes for wrestling fan club members; providing online newsletters in the fields of sports entertainment; online journals, namely blogs, in the field of sports entertainment"

While not confirmed, the potential name changes have led to speculation on a main roster call-up for WWE NXT Champion Karrion Kross, which has been expected as of late. The idea is that WWE is changing Nikki's ring name to make way for another Kross on the main roster, despite the different spelling.

Stay tuned for more.
