Ronda Rousey Explains Floyd Mayweather Jab, UFC Fight Night 72 Weigh Ins, TUF 1 Member Retires

- UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey was interviewed by MMA Junkie this week, where she opened up about the shot she took at Floyd Mayweather after this week's ESPY Awards.

"I know for damn sure he knew who I was," Rousey said. "He was running against me for 'Best Fighter' that year and he had signed MMA fighters, so his feigned ignorance was meant to really be a snarky remark to me. I don't let those kind of things slide, but I'm also a patient girl. I'm not the kind of chick you make snarky remarks about. I waited a whole year to say something. And you know what? If I didn't win 'Best Fighter' this year, I would have waited two years or three years. It got a big reaction, and I've got a fight to sell. So great timing, huh? I'm not dumb."

Rousey's next fight is on August 1 at UFC 190 against Bethe Correia. Wrestling Inc will have full, live coverage of the event.

- The Ultimate Fighter season 1 cast member Mike "Quick" Swick announced his retirement from mixed martial arts this week. This leaves Diego Sanchez as the last remaining member of the cast still fighting for the UFC. Josh Koscheck is the only other active fighter out of the group, as he recently signed a contract with Bellator MMA.

Swick's retirement comes after an overwhelming loss to Alex Garcia at UFC 189, which was Swick's first fight in nearly three years.

- The UFC will have its fourth event in under a week tomorrow morning as UFC Fight Night 72 will take place in Glasgow, Scotland. All 24 fighters made weight and are ready to go for the event, which airs on Fox Sports 1. You can see the full weigh-in results below:
