- The UFC raised eyebrows this week by firing longtime cutman Jacob "Stitch" Duran after an interview with Bloody Elbow saw him criticize the company's deal with Reebok. The UFC wouldn't comment on the situation.

Duran said that he lost a good amount of money due to Reebok's sponsorship, because he had to drop a monthly sponsor he received when the deal went into effect.

Reebok released a statement to angry fans, which you can see below:

"UFC fans: We have no input on decisions of UFC employment or fighter compensation. Our focus is providing the best gear for fighters & fans."

- According to Ariel Helwani of MMA Fighting, the UFC is looking to beef up their September 5 UFC 191 card, headlined by Demetrious "Mighty Mouse" Johnson vs. John Dodson. According to the report, UFC has contacted both Frankie Edgar and Alistair Overeem for the show, with Edgar agreeing to fight on the card.
