Hernandez Says TNA Never Told Him Of 2014 Release; Talks Return, TNA Unfollowing Him On Twitter

Hernandez's 2015 was surrounded with controversy. From him leaving Lucha Underground for TNA, to LU threatening legal action against TNA, to Hernandez himself taking action against Lucha Underground, the battles haven't stopped. Either way, Hernandez isn't on either program for the time being.

Hernandez found himself in that same position in 2014, when TNA released him from his contract. However, nobody in TNA bothered to let him know that he wouldn't be coming back to the company. They did, however, go to the trouble of unfollowing him on Twitter.

"I was on the payroll, but I wasn't being used," Hernandez told me in an exclusive interview. "They had already let Chavo go. I'd been with the company for about 7 or 8 years. They were still paying me, there's no call, there's no email, no bird with a note tied to its leg, no smoke signal. Why should I call you? As my contract ended, it was all over the internet. TNA unfollowed me on Twitter, I was like 'what the hell?'"

Hernandez said that while he doesn't hold any ill will against TNA, it would have been nice if they could have went to the trouble of sending him an e-mail. Hernandez also said that he had no contact with TNA for the last 6 months of his contract.

"With any social media, someone you're friends with that unfollows you, what would you think?," he explained. "You're been somewhere 8-9 years, that's almost like family. If you're sending stuff to websites, can you copy and paste, and maybe email it to me too? When I came back to TNA this year, that was the first contact I'd had with them since then, since December of 2013."

We'll have the full text interview with Hernandez on Wrestling Inc in the coming weeks. You can check out the audio preview in the video player above or the audio player below.
