WWE NXT Results 3/31 - Lola Vice Faces Kendal Grey, Joe Hendry Signs "Stand And Deliver" Contract, Tatum Paxley Confronts Blake Monroe, And More

Welcome to Wrestling Inc.'s coverage of the March 31 episode of "WWE NXT!" There's a big fight feel in the Big Apple this Tuesday evening, with several high-profile matches and face-offs scheduled for "NXT's" Madison Square Garden takeover. With "Stand and Deliver" just around the corner, who knows what WWE's explosive roster of hungry upstarts will do to secure a last-minute place on St. Louis' hallowed card?

After Blake Monroe stole Tatum Paxley's "NXT" Women's North American title following her March 17 title defense, Paxley interrupted Monroe's signature bath-time monologue to lay down the gauntlet for a face-to-face segment. The champion is keen on getting her championship back, but just what Paxley has planned for the title thief Monroe is anyone's guess as the two women meet in middle of New York City.

Both women's titles will be in the spotlight tonight, as Lola Vice takes on Kendal Grey in a Number One Contender's match to determine current "NXT" Women's Champion Jacy Jayne's "Stand and Deliver" opponent. The current AAA World Mixed Tag Team Champion has been on fire in both the United States and Mexico, but how will she hold up against the former "WWE Evolve" Women's Champion Grey? Will Jayne and her Fatal Influence lackeys interfere in the match? All questions will be answered as Vice and Grey battle in the concrete jungle, with Jayne's title hanging in the balance.

Also on tonight's card is a match that features, in WWE Hall of Famer Booker T's words, "no bread, no water, just meat!" Jasper Troy and Keanu Carver will face off in singles action. To say things have been tense between these two young upstarts is an understatement. With nothing to lose and everything to prove, just how will Special Guest Referee Josh Briggs keep order on the go-home show before "Stand and Deliver?"

Ethan Page, Ricky Saints, Tony D'Angelo, and "NXT" Champion Joe Hendry have been at each other's throats for weeks, with hands flying indiscriminately from contender-to-contender, contender-to-champion. What was just a long-rumored match for the "NXT" Championship will be made official tonight, as Page, Saints, D'Angelo, and Hendry will sign the contract for a Fatal Fourway match at "Stand and Deliver." Words will be exchanged, pen will meet paper, and bodies will certainly litter the ring. Just exactly what these four competitors will do to each other ahead of "Stand and Deliver," however, will be revealed.

Lights, camera, action! Madison Square Garden is lit up in silver, and we're joined by Vic Joseph and Booker T as Madison Square Garden erupts into raucous applause.

Six-Man Tag Team Match: DarkState (Osiris Griffin, Saquon Shugars, and Dion Lennox) vs. OTM (Bronco Nima, Lucien Price) and Mike Santana

Saquon Shugars starts the match by taking out Santana with a cheap shot, much to the chagrin of Santana's native New York City crowd. Nima and Griffin lock up to officially start the match, but it doesn't go far before Griffin tags in Lennox to ground Nima. OTM pair up to get Lennox in the corner, and hometown hero Santana comes out for a bit of fun!

Darkstate switch men, but Price puts Shugars into the corner. Shugars tries to out-strength Price — no dice. Price goes for the Military Press, but Darkstate play the numbers game, and make frequent tag ins and outs to overwhelm Price!

Griffin's trip into the corner post opens the door for Price to tag in Nima. Nima makes short work of both Lennox and Shugars, and Nima pins both Lennox and Shugars to the bottom rope before taking Nima up and over for a face-first slam! Lennox doesn't look much better — not until a distraction from Griffin allows Lennox to land a knee block and DDT onto Nima! Griffin is in now, and he puts Nima's knee under further pressure. Nima is at Griffin's mercy as Griffin lays him out with a Clothesline before tagging Shugars back in. The switch doesn't result in a fall, but Shugars looks quite content with the two-count.

Nima's in a tough spot as Lennox gets involved. Lennox lays out Nima against the ropes, and the two are neck-and-neck. Santana and Price attempt to mitigate Darkstate's frequent tags, but they fail to get Nima out of deep waters.

Price is finally able to tag in, and he is clearing house! He overwhelms both Lennox and Griffin, and finally scores the Military Press onto Shugars he was looking for earlier! Both Lennox and Shugars are neutralized, and Price looks for the pin on Griffin...just for Shugars to leap back into action to break things up! Shugars tags himself back in, and Lennox tries to join his comrade before Price takes them both out with a stomp.

The Bronx's very best is in! Santana makes short work of nearly all of Darkstate. He lays out Lennox with a Cutter, but it's not enough — he flattens both Griffin and Shugars with a Suicide Dive! Santana continues to be on fire as he flattens Lennox with a mile-high Frog Splash, but his feats of heroism fail to score him the pinfall. Darkstate land a Triple Powerbomb onto Santana, but when OTM come in to break the pin, the ring erupts into utter chaos! Lennox and Griffin grapple with OTM on the outside while Santana and Shugars go leap-for-leap in the ring. Santana manages to get the last word as he picks Shugars up for a Driver, and Santana tags in Nima before leaping over the top to flatten Lennox and Griffin! OTM lay out Shugars to get the pinfall, and MSG erupts into cheers!

Winners: Bronco Nima, Lucien Price, and TNA World Champion Mike Santana!

Lennox is irate on the outside. We transition into a sit-down interview with current "NXT" North American Champion Myles Borne ahead of his Stand and Deliver match against Johnny Gargano. "Johnny Takeover" interrupts the interview to speak to his Stand and Deliver opponent, and he tells Borne to beware: should Gargano find himself ahead of Saturday, he promises to "eat [Borne] alive."

NXT Tag Team Tournament Finals: Los Americanos (Bravo Americano and Rayo Americano) vs. BirthRight (Channing Stacks Lorenzo and Uriah Connors, with Charlie Dempsey, Arianna Grace, and Lexis King)

BirthRight are taking their sweet time with their entrance, and amidst the smoke, Rayo and Bravo Americano strike! The masked fighters attack their opponents before the match officially begins, but when the bell finally rings, Bravo and Uriah Connors start things off — poorly, for Connor, as both Americanos drive him crotch-first into the metal post.

Connors manages to tag in Lorenzo, only for a fresh Rayo to make short work of them. Bravo and Rayo pull off some cartoonishly effective offense, but Lorenzo, having quite enough, strikes Bravo from behind. Lorenzo and Grace take some time to salsa in the Americanos' faces, but the showboating costs Lorenzo as Bravo dropkicks him from behind! To add insult to injury, Bravo takes a moment to dance with an unaware Grace, only for her to screech in fear as Lorenzo takes things back into the ring.

Rayo and Connors are back in, and Rayo comes in hot against both BirthRight members! Connors attempts to pump the brakes on the action with a Cutter, but Rayo kicks out at the last moment, and heads to the ropes to recuperate.

Connors, at the behest of Grace, gives Rayo a bit of a fight, but Bravo quickly neutralizes his efforts. It takes Lorenzo's return for BirthRight to look competitive, as some high-energy tag team offense puts Rayo on his back for the two count. Rayo struggles against Connors' leg-based submission offense, and Lorenzo only adds to his woes with some heavy strikes and a flying Clothesline. Still, Rayo refuses to yield, much to BirthRight's mounting frustration. Connors tries to go forearm-for-forearm with Rayo, only for Rayo to come back swinging. Connors attempts to fight back with a back Elbow, but Rayo doesn't yield.

Bravo and Lorenzo are both back in! Connors attempts to sway things in BirthRight's favor with his presence, but Bravo fights both of them off, and lays out Lorenzo with a diabolical Airplane Spin! Lorenzo manages to recover, however, and nearly puts Bravo away with a clean knee to the back of the head.

Stable leader King attempts to run interference, but a steel chair-wielding Shiloh Hill sends King, and the rest of BirthRight, scrambling to the back. The distraction is all that Los Americanos need to stage a comeback, but just when victory looked to be so close after a top-rope Dragonrana/Splash Combo, Connors bursts onto the scene to save the day! Connors tosses Rayo to the outside, and nails Bravo on the ropes with an Enzuigiri before commanding Lorenzo to truly neutralize Rayo with a Suicide Dive. Connors was nearly the hero of the night following a Swanton Bomb, but, perhaps on instinct alone, Bravo kicks out!

There is no shortage of interference in this match. El Grande Americano appears to shout at the referee and Connors. While the referee is distracted, both Americanos trade steel bits to put inside their masks. Connors can only watch as Bravo nails him with a flying Headbutt for the victory.

Winners, and the new Number One Contenders for the "NXT" Tag Team Championships: Bravo and Rayo Americano!

Current "NXT" Tag Team Champions The Vanity Project appear on a balcony to taunt Los Americanos. The two factions shout at each other as the segment ends.

Jaida Parker vs. Kelani Jordan

Both women make their entrances, with "Miss Parker" chants ringing out from Madison Square Garden. The referee can hardly hold Parker back as Jordan finishes her entrance. The bell rings, and Jordan smacks Parker to begin the bout.

Jordan's early lead doesn't last long, and Parker wails on her in the corner. Jordan responds with the same amount of bite, and nails her in the jaw with a boot before sending Parker into a corner for her own dose of punishment. Jordan attempts an Irish Whip into the ropes before Parker stops her in her tracks, only for Jordan to escape to the outside. Parker attempts to bring her back in, but Jordan traps Parker in the apron before sending the OTM member into the steel steps as the show transitions into the break.

During the break, Jordan translates her out-of-ring dominance to the ropes. She drags Parker around the ring, grabs her by her hair, and poses over her as Parker wails and heaves in pain. Jordan tries to take Parker for another tour around the corners, but Parker pumps the brakes on Jordan's momentum with a strike. As Parker continues her campaign, she begins to cradle her elbow.

Parker's sliding Headlock was flashy, but it did little in her long-term war against Jordan. Jordan fights out of Parker's hold, and continues to toss Parker around the ring. When Parker goes for some sort of airborne headbutt, Jordan manages to grab her leg, and send her knee sideways into the canvas. With Parker reserved to the ground, Jordan begins to work Parker's elbow.

We are back from the break, and Jordan has climbed Parker like a spider. Jordan wrings Parker out for a moment before Parker is forced to slam both of them down for a moment of freedom, and as Jordan rolls to the outside of the ring, Parker cradles her aching body. Jordan gets back onto the apron, only to be tossed back into the ring by an irate Parker. Parker is getting fired up as she tosses Jordan around like a ragdoll!

Madison Square Garden knows what's coming as Jordan is draped over the corner ropes! Parker lands her signature Tear Drop, and New York City punctuates her high steps with shouts of approval. Parker continues to command the ring, but Jordan takes Parker's moment of showboating and turns it into a brutal arm-based submission. Parker holds her arm close as Jordan grounds her, but when all hope for Parker seems to be lost, the scrappy Parker kicks out of Jordan's top-rope Frog Splash!

Jordan looks for the Split-Legged Moonsault, but Parker strikes her lower back to buy a moment of time. Parker joins Jordan up top to land a massive German Superplex. Blink, and you'll miss it: Parker speeds by with a Hip-Notic, and cinches in a victory with Deja Vu!

Winner: Jaida Parker!

We join the Vanity Project as they make an attempt at chivalry towards Blake Monroe. Monroe rebuffs them as she walks off.

Tony D'Angelo, Ricky Saints, Ethan Page, and Joe Hendry sign their Stand and Deliver Contracts

All four men destined for Stand and Deliver make their entrances. Tony D'Angelo arrives first, followed by Ricky Saints. Ethan Page follows, and current "NXT" Champion Joe Hendry rounds out the contract summit. "NXT" General Manager Roderick Stone is set to host the summit. Stone presents all participants, and announces the match as Stand and Deliver's main event.

Saints and Page politely argue over who will sign the Stand and Deliver contract first. Hendry snatches the binder from the two squabblers and signs it without ceremony. He takes the microphone, and, amused, wonders whether Page or Saints will be the first to betray the other. He criticizes the two men for their focus on jealous egos, and highlights his redeeming quality: his passion for "NXT," the "NXT" Championship, and the "NXT" Universe in Madison Square Garden. "We believe" chants ring out throughout the concrete jungle.

Saints is next to speak as Stone retrieves the contract. Saints compares Hendry to Dr. Phil, and asks him to stop "psychoanalyzing" his and Page's friendship. He further demeans Hendry, and claims that Hendry should never have been "NXT" Champion. Saints signs the contract, and promises to become a two-time "NXT" Champion.

Page is up next. He admits that his quest to be the greatest "NXT" North American Champion had distracted him from his goal of "global recognition," and, much to Saints' dismay, proclaims himself to be the next "NXT" Champion. Saints and Page begin to squabble one more before the thus-silent D'Angelo shouts at them to "shut up.

D'Angelo begins his world title pitch by highlighting his "NXT" experience, before going down the line of his competitors. He sharply criticizes Page and Saints for their lackluster "NXT" runs, and labels them as frauds, devoid of "NXT's" signature, grassroots authenticity. He goes to Hendry, and while he acknowledges that he has no problem with the current champion, D'Angelo labels him as a viral "outsider," much like Page and Saints. D'Angelo proclaims that "NXT" is in his blood, and promises to run through the competition "like a damn freight train."

"Now Stone, you know how these things go," D'Angelo warns. "I recommend you get the hell out of here."

Stone scurries out of the ring as D'Angelo incites an all-out brawl, with the "NXT" veteran hoisting up Saints while Page puts Hendry up in the air. D'Angelo puts Saints through a table as Hendry comes crashing down from Page's Crucifix Powerbomb, but the two men are not finished. D'Angelo and Page trade blow after blow as security guards swarm the ring to separate them. The segment ends as Keanu Carver and Jasper Troy make their way to the ring.

Keanu Carver vs. Jasper Troy, with Special Guest Referee Josh Briggs

Josh Briggs is already present in the ring. Keanu Carver makes his entrance first. Jasper Troy follows.

Before the bell rings, Carver strikes Troy and sends him into the post! The smoke has barely cleared, and Troy is already laid out into the steel steps. Briggs tries to restore order as Carver looks for Troy's signature chains. Carver briefly plays tug of war with the steel, but Troy recovers enough to plant Carver face-first into the apron. The two men re-enter the ring as the match officialy gets underway, and after a brief trip into the corner, Carver begins to grind his foot into a cornered Troy.

Briggs has a lackluster count, but five is five. Briggs attempts to reign-in Carver, only for Carver to stand face-to-face with him. A trip to the outside leads to Carver nearly manhandling an "NXT" audience member, which Briggs quickly puts an end to. Carver then migrates to the "NXT" commentary booth to shout at Vic Joseph and Booker T. Before things can escalate, however, Troy recovers, and sends Carver crashing through the table.

Troy looks to capitalize on his out-of-ring damage, but Briggs counts the pinfall at two. Troy shouts at Briggs, only for Briggs to strike him with a Big Boot! Carver takes advantage of Briggs' interference to shove Troy mid-air to score the pinfall victory. Booker T, and New York City, look on in confusion and disappointment.

Winner: Keanu Carver!

Following the match, Briggs attempts to exit the ring. Carver, however, pulls him back in, and demands that Briggs raise his hand. After a bit of convincing, Briggs goes to raise Carver's hand, only to pull him in for a Clothesline! Carver and Troy are left writhing in the ring as Briggs walks up the entrance ramp with a devious smile on his face.

Tatum Paxley confronts Blake Monroe

Tatum Paxley opens the segment. She shares the joy she felt raiding Blake Monroe's hotel room following Monroe's theft of her "NXT" Women's North American Championship with the receptive New York Crowd. Paxley acknowledges Monroe as a "complex woman," and beckons Monroe to come out. Monroe enters nearly immediately.

Monroe appears, holding Paxley's "NXT" Women's North American Championship. She acknowledges that she has no problem with Paxley, but argues that she never lost the North American title in the first place. She says that she simply cannot return it.

Paxley attempts to bargain, claiming that she has something Monroe desires. Monroe rebuffs her, but Paxley offers her a Stand and Deliver match. Paxley brings up Monroe's complexities and desire for the spotlight, and empathizes with her.

"So, let's make both of us happy here — we can both get what we want. How about this Saturday, you and I just have some fun?" Paxley offers.

Monroe initially refuses to return Paxley's title, but she does ultimately accept Paxley's offer at a match. However, she rebukes Paxley's attempt at empathy, and refuses to acknowledge their similarities. Monroe calls them "polar opposites," and distances her polished demeanor from Paxley's common look. Paxley interrupts her tirade. She reaffirms the similarities between her and Monroe, but makes a clear delineation: her dark side is much more dangerous than "The Woman From Hell's." Paxley lunges for her title, only for Monroe to tug it back. Paxley strikes Monroe, but as Monroe is tumbling out of the ring, she snatches Paxley's title ahead of Saturday.

As the segment ends, Carver confronts Stone in the back. Before they can get much conversation done, however, Stone is summoned by chaos. The camera rushes to a backstage hallway, where Kelani Jordan is pummeling Jaida Parker with an assortment of weapons.

Number One Contender Match for the NXT Women's Championship: Lola Vice vs. Kendal Grey (with Wren Sinclair)

Prior to the start of the match, a video package for Sol Ruca and Zaria's upcoming Stand and Deliver match plays. Current "NXT" Women's Champion Jacy Jayne watches alongside Fatal Influence, and Jayne rebuffs Ruca and Zaria's friendship meltdown. She brags that her "NXT" Women's Championship has broken several friendships, before Izzi Dame interjects. Dame claims that Jayne is "way too smart" to act dumb about Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid's intentions, and Dame implies that she is looking for Jayne's title before leaving.

The bell rings, and Vice locks up with Grey. The two pin reach other against the ropes before Grey makes the first major move. Grey slams Vice onto the canvas for a takedown, but the MMA veteran responds with some waist-based grappling of her own. Grey responds with an arm drag, and both of them rise back to their feet. Grey and Vice exchange arm drags and other grappling-based offense on the mat.

Vice establishes a slight edge over Grey as she drags the former "EVOLVE" Women's Champion back and forth between the ropes, but Grey manages to flip and run circles around Vice with her signature athleticism. Vice puts an end to her games with some choice strikes, and corners Grey with her signature kicks. Vice lands a hip attack on a cornered Grey, but Grey dodges Vice's second attempt. The fight spills to the outside as Vice leaps onto Grey!

Heading into the break, Vice and Grey quickly make their way back into the ring, where Vice successfully delivers The Three Amigos. Grey kicks out, but Vice still manages to maintain her edge. Vice puts Grey into a head lock-up on the mat, but when Grey rises to her feet, Vice knocks her down with an elbow. Grey's attempts at a comeback via quick flash pins fail, and Vice continues to stage a submission masterclass at Grey's expense. A double Clothesline sends both women flying, and both Vice and Grey are down as the break ends!

Back from the break, and Grey is fired up! The singlet sleeves come off, and Grey lays out Vice with some strikes before attempting an armbar on the submission professional. Vice looks as if she's about to yield, but the MMA professional stages a phenomenal comeback with a Body Scissor/Armbar submission combo. Grey escapes, but the relief is temporary: she ricochets off the ropes, and right into a Spinning Back Elbow from Vice!

Fatal Influence, not to be forgotten, march down to the ring. One of the two present referees separates the two, but the distraction is enough for Grey to get a few strikes in. Vice knocks her into the steel steps in response, but when she goes to follow up with a Hip Attack, she lands side-first into the steps! Grey tosses a battered Vice back into the ring, and goes for one of her signature top-rope moves...only to land abdomen-first into a Spinning Back Kick from Vice! Vice has Grey folded for one, two...and no dice. Grey kicks out, and the match continues!

It's a page out of Vice's own book: Grey nearly has the match won with a Spinning Back Elbow of her own! Vice kicks out to keep the contest alive as Fatal Influence heckle by ringside. The two women begin to trade blows, but when Vice attempted to capitalize on her strike combo with a Roundhouse Kick, Grey catches her leg for an Ankle Lock! Vice manages to flip it around for a pin cover, but Grey escapes, and tries for a pin cover of her own. Vice escapes, and locks Grey into a grueling Guillotine submission! A ringside Sinclair pleads for Grey to hold on as Vice's grip tightens. Against all odds, Grey manages to power out and land a Northern Lights Suplex for a three count. However, another referee calls the match as a tap-out win for Vice, and upon review, Grey is seen tapping out to Vice mid-Northern Lights Suplex.

Winner(s): Lola Vice and Kendal Grey (?)

Chaos erupts in the ring as the two referees quarrel, and both competitors are left dumbstruck. Fatal Influence watch on as "NXT" leader and WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels stomps down to the ring in an attempt to decipher the situation. NXT closes with a heated conversation between Michaels and the referees, with no resolution had.
