AEW Collision Results 7/11 - Three Titles On The Line, Hangman Adam Page Returns

Welcome to Wrestling Inc.'s live coverage of "AEW Collision" emanating from the Berglund Center in Roanoke, Virginia.

"Collision" is scheduled to kick off with the return of "Hangman" Adam Page, ending his four-month absence in his home state of Virginia. He may surely have something to say about Kenny Omega's AEW World Championship win during Wednesday's "AEW Dynamite," dethroning the same champion in MJF that had beaten him at Revolution, thus forbidding him from challenging for the title again.

Hikaru Shida will be making the first defense of her TBS Championship against Harley Cameron, having won the Survival of the Fittest match for the vacant title on June 1.

Mark Davis will also be defending his National Championship against "Speedball" Mike Bailey, with Bailey looking to get through one Don Callis Family to get to another in Kevin Knight. Should Davis beat Bailey, he could have another title defense to look forward to against Andrade, provided he beats Jake Doyle during next week's "Dynamite."

Rounding out the scheduled title contests, Bandido will be defending his ROH World Championship against Katsuyori Shibata.

"AEW Collision" is scheduled to begin at 8 PM ET, available via TNT and HBO Max for those watching in the US. Those watching internationally can use Triller TV or MyAEW depending on their region.

Hangman Adam Page returns to AEW

The show kicks off with a package recapping Kenny Omega's AEW World Championship win over MJF on Wednesday.

After that package, Tony Schiavone stands in the ring to announce the arrival of "Hangman" Adam Page. Page comes out, his hair cut shorter than before but otherwise the "Cowboy" fans have come to know and love. Schiavone welcomes Page back in his home state of Virginia.

Page says is a gardener after the past few years, mostly native plants. His butterfly weed is incredible, he says. He says he has found something beautifully therapeutic about planting a seed. He has gone for four months, and says in the time he wasn't in physio he was planting. But he says it was important for him to be here tonight because he wanted to plant one more seed. He doesn't know what it will grow into but he'll do that.

Page recalls his March Championship match to MJF, putting up his ability to ever challenge for the World title so he could get the Texas Death Match. He doesn't know whether he underestimated MJF or overestimated himself, but he lost.

He says he always tried to be a man of a word, and he knows there is no contract strictly preventing him from challenging for the title, but he has decided to stay true to his word and never challenge for the World title again.

He says that he looks beyond the World title won by Kenny Omega, whether it be the TNT Championship held by Kevin Knight, the National Championship held by Mark Davis – or maybe Mike Bailey if he wins later tonight, the Continental Championship held by Jon Moxley, or the International Championship held by Kyle Fletcher.

He asks, "Who is Hangman Page without the World Championship?"

He says he does not know, but he is looking forward to finding out.

Bandido (C) vs. Katsuyori Shibata - ROH World Championship

The match kicks off with a grappling back-and-forth which Katsuyori Shibata appears to get the better of, with Bandido switching out only to get thrown back into another hold.

Bandido finds the ropes to break a leg hold, but Shibata slaps him back down to the mat when they return to their feet. Shibata halts a comeback rally from Bandido with a boot to the face and throws the kitchen sink to the midsection to bring him down.

Shibata manages to hit a low-blow without the referee noticing, draping Bandido on the ropes and kicking him out of the ring. Shibata continues to work over Bandido on the floor before casting him back into the ring. Shibata returns to the ring and Bandido rolls out to the other side clutching his crown jewels.

Shibata goes back outside, charging Bandido into the apron and throwing him into the guard rail. He then charges with Bandido in tow at the guard rail on the opposite side.

Shibata picks up a steel chair and shapes up to use it before the referee gets involved and takes it off of him. He then opts to throw Bandido back in the ring. Shibata makes the cover for a two-fall, followed by another, then another in quick succession.

Shibata keeps kicking down at Bandido and grapping at his mask. Bandido is rising to his feet and calling for more. A striking exchange ensues. Shibata wobbles Bandido who returns with a backfist, Shibata drops Bandido to the floor before he falls down himself.

The action is taken to the apron as both attempt a suplex, but Shibata adjusts and hits a DDT to plant Bandido onto the apron. He then follows up with a suplex on the floor. Back in the ring and he makes a cover but again only for a two-count.

Another striking exchange continues with both men chopping one another, Shibata rebounds from the ropes but gets caught with a superkick, trying the rebound again and getting another superkick. Bandido Gorilla presses Shibata and follows up with a shooting star press from the top for another near-fall.

Bandido looks for 21-Plex but Shibata holds the ropes. Shibata rolls Bandido up for a two-count but comes back with a PK. Shibata looks for another but Bandido connects with a hurricanrana and makes the cover for a two-count.

Both men run at one another and rock eachother with lariats. They settle in opposite corners for a shoot-out, Shibata wins with a stiff lariat but Bandido rocks him with an up-kick. They grapple and Bandido ties Shibata up in the cover for the three-count.

Back from a commercial break and Mike Bailey is talking ahead of his National title match. He says he will beat Mark Davis for the title and then he will beat whoever emerges the victor of Andrade versus Jake Doyle next week.

Hikaru Shida (C) vs. Harley Cameron - AEW TBS Championship

Hikaru Shida attacks Harley Cameron before the bell can ring. The bell does ring and Shida suplexes her, going for the cover and getting a two-count. She drives Cameron's face into the canvas repeatedly and continues to beat her down.

Cameron retreats to the ropes but Shida follows her and continues the beatdown, throwing her with an Irish Whip. Cameron uses the rebound to drag Shida down, following up with a spirited rally to take her out onto the floor.

Cameron returns to the ring the break the count at three but goes back to give chase to Shida on the ramp. Shida uses the space and Cameron coming to her to deliver a backbreaker, draping her over the stage to deliver a running knee.

Shida drags Cameron closer to the ring by the hair, throwing her into the guardrails and returning to the ring. Cameron beats the count at eight. Shida immediately sets upon her with kicks, burrowing her boot into Cameron's face against the bottom rope. She casts Cameron back to the mat by her hair, taking her to the corner and delivering a running knee.

Shida goes for the cover but Cameron kicks out at two. Shida cinches in a rear neck clutch. She relinquishes the hold herself as Cameron tries to fight to the ropes, slamming her face into the mat as she returns to her feet.

Shida encourages Cameron to stand up and hit her, starting an exchange that Shida gets the better of. Shida throws Cameron against the ropes but again she uses that rebound to drop Shida, taking the champion into the corner and wailing down on her. Cameron connects with a sling blade and hits a shining wizard for a two-count.

Cameron now going to the top rope. But Shida comes and halts her with a palm strike. The pair fight at the top of the ropes, Cameron slips through and looks for a powerbomb, Shida bites at her face and escapes.

Another striking exchange begins and this time Cameron gets the better of it. She now cinches in a single-leg Boston crab. Shida grabs at the referee's leg, and as he pulls away from her she gains the extra ground needed to reach the ropes.

Shida now comes back and cinches in her own ankle lock, Cameron escapes and rocks Shida with a head kick. Cameron rebounds from the ropes but this time she is dropped with a running knee.

Shida cinches in another submission, tying up the neck with Cameron's own arm and wrenching at the leg. Cameron taps out.

Back from the commercial break and Kyle Fletcher is here celebrating his International title win on Wednesday, now he can put Konosuke Takeshita in the rear-view, but whenever he wants to test out who is the real "Alpha" of AEW again he knows where to find him.

Fletcher notes that Page was talking about him earlier, and says that there are enough members within the Don Callis Family he can challenge if he so chooses.

He reveals that Brian Cage will be wrestling Zachary Wentz in a singles match later in the show.

The Conglomeration's Orange Cassidy, Kyle O'Reilly, and Roderick Strong come down to the ring. Cassidy says that they may still be the Trios Champions, but there is one person in the Conglomeration that wants to win a title. Willow Nightingale's music plays and he comes down to the ring, having won the Casino Gauntlet on Wednesday to secure a Women's World Championship match against Thekla at Redemption.

Nightingale recalls a shoulder injury forcing her to relinquish the TBS Championship and drop out of the Owen Hart Cup two months ago, being sidelined for Double or Nothing, and it breaking her heart. She congratulates Shida and Mercedes Mone for making good on their opportunities in her absence.

She says that she knew she had to take the opportunity when the Casino Gauntlet match was announced, so she could get one more shot at Redemption.

She concedes that Thekla has been a good champion, but nothing is going to stand in her way and she will walk out as the Women's World Champion. And Mone, she promises she will see at All In.

The Death Riders vs. AR Fox, Top Flight & Komander

Daniel Garcia and Darius Martin start as the legal men, Garcia getting the better of the first grappling exchange. He goads Martin, who comes back to win his own exchange and goad him back. Garcia fights back by grabbing Martin's hair and pulling him to the mat.

Garcia drops Martin with a shoulder tackle and goes for another one, getting caught instead with a dropkick. Darius Martin tags in his brother Dante. Dante and Darius work over Garcia before Dante tags out to AR Fox.

Fox goes for a cover but only for a one-count. Garcia wrestles Fox into his corner and tags out to Jon Moxley. Moxley climbs into the ring and immediately dominates Fox onto the mat.

Fox maneuvers away from Moxley and tags out to Komander. Moxley tags out to Claudio Castagnoli. Castagnoli watches as Komander makes an extravagant entrance to the ring, kicking him down to the ground and dominating once more before tagging out to Wheeler Yuta.

He and Yuta continue to work Komander over before he kicks Castagnoli off of the apron. Yuta comes back and rains fists down on him, but Komander catches him with a kick to the head and gets the better of him in the middle of the ring. Everyone enters the ring and a brawl ensues. When the crowd clears, Yuta throws Komander back into his corner. Komander tags Dante back in, but Yuta gets the better of him and drags him back to the Death Riders' corner.

Yuta tags Moxley back in and he splits Dante's legs between the ring post, hurting the pelvis before targeting the knees as he smashes them against the post.

Moxley ties up Dante in the middle of the ring. Dante looks to have fought out of it but then he gets dropped unceremoniously back to the mat. Moxley tags back out to Yuta, who continues to work Dante over with kicks down at him on the mat.

Dante evades Yuta and looks to tag out to someone fresher, but Garcia and Yuta double up and yank him from the ring, beating him down at ringside. Darius takes them out, Castagnoli takes him out, and Komander takes him out.

Fox out-maneuvers Yuta and Garcia back inside the ring, taking both out with planchas to the outside. Fox connects with a senton from the top rope but Castagnoli gets him in the giant swing. Darius and Dante work together to take Castagnoli down, Moxley comes in the ring and bites Dante's face. Darius helps him and Moxley goes to the outside, Dante following up to take him out with a leap to the outside.

Darius continues to fight Moxley at ringside as Komander enters the fray with Yuta and Garcia. Fox uses that distraction and takes Garcia out from the top rope, going for the cover for a two-count.

Fox is ganged up on by all of the Death Riders as they deliver lariats into the corner. Garcia cinches in the Dragon Tamer in the middle of the ring, Moxley delivers a curbstomp while Fox is in the hold. Garcia goes for the cover and gets the three-count.

Death Riders def. AR Fox, Top Flight & Komander via Pinfall

Moxley takes to the microphone after the match and says that was a little too light for them. He doesn't see anyone beating the Death Riders, he doesn't see anyone, including "Kenny Omega's broke a**," beating Will Ospreay. He says it's the Death Riders against the world.

Jay White and the Bang Bang Gang appear in a vignette at a dog shelter, appealing for dogs up for adoption while they promise to end the "human Dogs."

Juice Robinson says they will euthanize them, scrutinize them, circumcise them, and leave them in a pile of their own feces.

Brian Cage vs. Zachary Wentz

The match starts and Zachary Wentz ducks and dives successfully to see Brian Cage out of the ring. He goes for a tope but gets caught by Cage. Cage throws him, he lands on the apron, following up with a kick to the face and flying from the apron to take him out on the floor.

Cage still comes back and drops Wentz onto the apron back-first. Cages goes to the top rope and delivers a deadlift outside-in suplex before posing for the crowd. He bundles Wentz into the corner, softening him up with a chop and a forearm. He ties Wentz up on the ropes and delivers another forearm into the back, a purple target of kinesiology tape.

Cage picks Wentz up, curls him a few times, and casts him back down to the mat. He continues to put pressure on the back with his boot, cinching in a clutch against the bottom rope.

Cage delivers what looks like a GTH, Wentz falls like an ironing board and Cage makes the cover. Wentz kicks out at the last second.

Cage takes Wentz to the top rope once more, picking him up in a fireman carry before Wentz elbowed his way out of it. Wentz hits a missile dropkick from the top rope, delivering elbows and kicks to ground Cage. Wentz connects with a double foot stomp and a springboard knee before going for the cover, but Cage kicks out at two.

Wentz connects with multiple superkicks before hitting a twisting cutter for another near-fall. He looks to press the advantage but Cage wipes him out with a discus lariat. Cage now hits a German variant of the deadlift outside-in suplex. He follows up with a Drill Claw, going for the cover and getting the winning pinfall.

Brian Cage def. Zachary Wentz via Pinfall

Trent Beretta takes to the microphone after the match and says he made a challenge to Darby Allin yet he's not here. So he calls a referee into the ring to declare him winner by forfeit, saying he needs a win.

Darby Allin's music plays to the shock of Beretta, Cage, and everyone in the venue. The referee rings the bell and the match is made official as Allin gets started with Beretta.

Darby Allin vs. Trent Beretta

Beretta has the better of Allin after Cage makes his presence known, connecting with a running knee and going for the cover for a two-count.

His advantage doesn't last long and Allin comes back with rapid offense, getting up in position for the Coffin Drop but instead opting to take out Cage on the outside.

Again that distraction allows Beretta to get the better of Allin, delivering a vertibreaker on the apron and going for the cover in the ring. Allin manages to kick out before the count of three, frustrating Beretta as he seeks to put the match away.

The action goes to the top rope but Allin out-maneuvers Beretta to hit a Code Red from the top, going for the cover but only for a two-count. He follows that up with a Coffin Drop and makes the winning cover.

After the match, the Don Callis Family looks to beat Allin down before Mike Bailey runs in to make the save.

Mark Davis (C) vs. Speedball Mike Bailey - AEW National Championship

Mark Davis dominates from the outset, tying Bailey up on the mat and biting at the exposed feet of his opponent.

Bailey finds an opening as Davis runs at him, slipping and sticking with kicks. He continues to pile on the kicks in the middle of the ring, taking Davis into the corner and following the same gameplan until the referee stops him. Bailey takes Davis to the top rope, almost looks to regret it as he slips, but recovers to pull Davis down anyway.

Davis rolls to the outside of the ring but Bailey follows with a moonsault to take him out on the floor. Bailey puts Davis on the announcer's desk as Kyle Fletcher, sat on commentary, vehemently disagrees. Davis fights Bailey off and delivers his own piledriver onto the desk. Fletcher is now vehement in his approval.

Davis returns to the ring while the referee initiates a count. Bailey is now busted open. He breaks the count at nine.

Davis sets up for another piledriver, Bailey falls to the floor, but then he lifts him back up and connects with the driver. He goes for the cover. But Bailey still manages to kick out before the count of three.

Davis buries his boot into the back of Bailey's head against the bottom rope until the referee forces him to break. Davis invites Bailey to fight him on his feet. Bailey looks to oblige but falls back down. He fights to his feet and chops Davis. Davis academically drops him back down.

Bailey drops Davis with a spinning head kick, falling back down himself to see both competitors grounded. Bailey rises first and sinks another kick in. Davis catches another and casts Bailey into the corner. He looks to run at him in the corner but Bailey slips him.

Bailey goes to the top rope, connects with the Ultima Weapon, goes for what should be a winning cover. Davis gets a finger on the bottom rope before three.

Davis muscles Bailey up from a piledriver position to hit a vertibreaker, going for the cover and getting a near-fall. Bailey rolls Davis up tightly and gets himself a near-fall.

Bailey hits a spinning head kick to Davis in the corner, looking for Ultima Weapon again. Davis rolls out of the way and pounces Bailey onto the apron. Bailey fights out of a suplex and lands repeated kicks to take Davis out.

Bailey goes for a knees-first moonsault, Davis rolls out of the way and those knees hit the apron. Davis hits a brainbuster onto the apron. Bailey still manages to roll Davis up when they return to the ring, but only for a two-count. Davis hits one last driver, goes for the cover, and gets the winning pinfall.
