WWE Star Je'Von Evans Says He And Oba Femi 'Go Crazy' In The Ring

Before being called up to the main roster, Je'Von Evans and Oba Femi were two of "WWE NXT's" biggest stars, and during their time together on the developmental brand, both men became close friends. However, according to Evans, his first interaction with Femi was not what he expected, admitting during a recent interview on "Cheap Heat" with Peter Rosenberg that he was intimidated by "The Ruler" when he met him.

"Honestly, I think it was his accent ... he was like, 'I'm Oba.' But it was very deep and I was like, 'Oh my, my bad, OG.' He was just saying what's up to me. I feel like I did something wrong," he explained. "Other than that, bro, every time I saw him train in the ring, he was a beast ... one thing that really mainly stood out to me was just how he moved in the ring for his size."

Evans and Femi competed against each other on four occasions during their time in "NXT," all of which didn't disappoint, especially since the 2026 King of the Ring winner allows "The Young OG" to be creative in the ring.

"We go crazy every match, because he listens to me ... I just tell him what to do and he does it. You feel me? He listens to me," he said. "Our chemistry is great, bro. I don't think we've ever had a bad match for real."

Evans also shared that he and Femi purposely trade harder shots in the ring, but admitted that he sometimes crosses a line, which ultimately leads to a painful receipt from the "Bringer of War."
