Rey Fenix defeated Ricky Saints to retain the AAA Cruiserweight Championship during "WWE SmackDown."

Saints took control of the match early on, taking breaks to strike his "Absolute" pose before getting back into wearing down the champion. He continued to take the action to the outside of the ring, dumping Fenix on the barricade before bringing him back between the ropes to wear him down on the mat.

Fenix came back beginning with a hurricanrana to send Saints from the top rope back down into the ring, going to the other corner and hitting a moonsault, and delivering Adios Amigo to send Saints to the outside of the ring. Fenix to continued to land another moonsault to the outside, returning Saints to the ring and delivering a cross-body for a two-count.

Saints caught Fenix with a Revolution DDT and went for the cover himself, getting another two-count, before being rolled up for another near-fall. Fenix caught himself on the ropes from an Irish Whip and returned fire with a spinning heel kick, telegraphing an attempt at the Rochambeau to deliver a handspring cutter.

From there, Fenix delivered Mexican Musclebuster and secured the winning pinfall. He will now go on to defend the title in a four-way at Sunday's AAA TripleMania 34 show, facing Nathan Frazer, Jack Cartwheel and Mini Vikingo.
