Stephanie Vaquer Wins Women's World Title At WWE Live Event

In a rare occurrence, a WWE world title has changed hands at a live event.

On Saturday, September 12, Stephanie Vaquer competed before her home country of Chile, specifically challenging Liv Morgan for the WWE Women's World Championship as Becky Lynch served as the special guest referee. Morgan seemed to have the match won when she drove "La Primera" into the mat with an Oblivion. When she covered her, however, Lynch refused to count to three and flashed a pair of middle fingers at the defending champion.

Enraged by Lynch's actions, Morgan then charged at her, only to walk into a superkick from Vaquer instead. Vaquer followed with an SVB and a Vaquer Inferno (corkscrew moonsault) to secure the pinfall on Morgan.

With her win, Vaquer now enters her second reign as WWE Women's World Champion. Her first spanned seven months before coming to an end at Morgan's hands at WrestleMania 42 in April 2026. The Judgment Day member initially retained the title in a rematch with Vaquer last Monday on "WWE Raw."

Following her victory over Morgan at Saturday's live event, Vaquer celebrated with her home country crowd and her colleagues, namely Sol Ruca, IYO SKY, and Bayley, at ringside. SKY hoisted Vaquer on her shoulders. Bayley later posted a photograph of the two holding the Chile flag backstage, writing "What a feeling that was."

As of now, WWE has yet to confirm if Morgan will receive a championship rematch of her own. Her latest reign with the Women's World Title came to an end at 147 days.
